Using Host Gator as my main host right now after I closed some accounts with other hosts. Too many problems with other companies and they just put too many liitations. At least here it's unlimited hosting for less than $8 per month. Very good value for the money in my view. Very good support people who actually have the knowledge and information required to answer your questions in a very rapid and polite way. Glad to be doing business with them and recommended their services to many of my friends. Simply put, Host Gator rules and they're one of the best hosting companies that I dealt with in quite a long time. No hiccups such as server problems or slow loading times were encountered here which is something that's always welcomed from a hosting company. Very good.

Being a customer of Justhost I kind of understand that some may have had problems with them. I use several web hosts but with Justhost I only have one small site that isn't getting too many visits and that I don't update very often. So maybe there are times where the service is down but I just don't notice it as this is one of my smaller websites. They're not as rude as some people may say though. Sent them an email about a querstion regarding Joomla hosting and it was answered very quickly with less than a couple of hours now. They provided me with a complete answer and no BS. At least that's one of their good aspects as I also had a question about biloling and it was answered very quickly again. Maybe it's not perfect but at least it looks like theyre trying to do somthing better now. Looks like Justhost improved.

I really don't have any idea how this company managed to stay in business for so long given their poor record. I'm not the only one complaining there are many others with problems regarding Bluehost and their other company Hostmonster. I think they have another partner company as well but I forgot their names. Anyways the problem is their reliability going down the tubes. Sometimes for 3 hours or so the service would become unavailable . Support support answers rudely when you inquire about it and they just say they don't know when it will be fix and to keep trying in one hour. This is not acceptable for a professional web hosting business. They shouldk know know how to run their operations much better than that junk. Avoid this hosting. Not good at all too many down periods with them and this happens very often now.

Have 2 blogs right now with Ipage. One is for my small business and the other one is for a hobby site. My main site isn't hosted with them at the moment though as I only wanted a lite hosting account for the 2 blogs. My main site is with a cloud hosting company and is doing well there. For my service at Ipage it answers all of my needs at the moment. Never saw down time at all. Service uptime would rival even the most expensive other companies. Had a problem getting email on one of my domains but they fixed that very very quickly in less than a day. They respond to tickets rather quickly and again I was surprised by the speed in which they acted. This goes to prove that even the cheaper hosting companies like Ipage can give you some good hosting services as well.

Support is the best feature of In Motion Web Hosting. A lot of help was given by them to get my website ready. I really appreciated all that they've done for me and for my online business. Couldn't get the same thing from any other web hosts in the past. Reliable and dependable, so your site will be working 100% of the time when you need it. Other than for asking them questions to get started didn't need to contact them after that as they didn't have any problems at all. I just wish it was like that with all the other companies I used before... way too many troubles with Go Daddy and their resellers. In Motion is a company that really knows what hosting is all about and that actually understands the needs of their business clients 100% of the time. So I would like to give them big thanks for that.

Funny that way too many people around here seem to think that Host Monster is the best thing in the world when they're actually the same company that has Blue Host which was another host that I had problems with. Signing up wasn't easy. Was asked to call them to verify my information over and over and had to submit proof of payment and proof that I owned the credit card I used to buy the service. Strange never had this from a hosting business before and it's not like I purchased $1000 worth of services at once. Service was average at best with some outages here and there. Also there was trouble accessing email several times and support was slow to address this issue seriously. For very basic hosting they might be OK but I don't think they're the best in the industry or even for second place it would be well too generous. Should be in 10th place maybe.

I've had the opportunity to use Fat Cow services in addition to some other hosting companies in the business. Comparing Fat Cow to others I could say that the hosting part of the service was okay. Their servers aren't the fastest in the world and there were periods of time where thigns got too slow. But I think if the site you're running isn't too intensive and dependent on their server it will work better. As for the features they worked fine for my use. Control panel is easily accessible and features are also easy to use. Well organized control panel which is something I liked a lot. Didn't have any experience with customer service other than talking to them once on the phone. Don't remember waiting a long time to reach anyone so at least this is something excellent about them.

HostGator is my all time favorite web host and the one that I've stayed with all this time. I used a lot of hosting companies in the past and would usually just close the account when I didn't need the website anymore. HostGator is the first one that I used to actually host multiple complete websites and not just landing pages. All went very well since I got them. Even when I'm not actively promoting any sites, I still keep my HostGator account open as I will be adding some new websites next month. I like the fact that with them you can pay on a monthly basis and that there's no commitment that you need to take when you sign up. So far they've proven their quality to me by their service and customer support. I only talked to sales and billing as I didn't have technical issues to discuss however every time I did they were always on top of their game. HostGator is an excellent host

Things at Host Gator are now off to a bad start and we're now canceling our services with them. Transferred some websites over to them. We needed a dedicated IP address and they started asking all kinds of question as to why we needed one and that it wasn't part of their shared hosting plans. I let the rep know that of course, it's not included in the plan as it's an additional service that we're willing to pay for. The idiot rep then said that they give them only on a case by case basis and that they could only give one out if we purchased an SSL certificate from them. We were really starting to go around in circles so I just let him know that I've had it with his company and that we're moving our hosting account someplace else. Of course, he didn't seem to be the least bit concerned about this. We had 4 websites that were on that account and now Host Gator lost our business and any future business from clients that we might recommend. The reason why I decided to move all client sites from Host Gator was not just due to this incident. There were many more problems with them but theyre all minor when compare to the rude reps that they have and poor customer support. There were many too many times where I had to wait more than 15 minutes for someone on the live chat to answer or on the phone. Reps did not even pay attention to what I was telling them half of the time, which just made any discussions much longer than they should have been. Now I'm really glad that we chose to go with the monthly option with Host Gator and never paid them anything in advance. At least there will be no more fighting trying to get our money back (which I'm sure wouldn't have happened) and we can just leave and move on. So remember that while Host Gator may look like a good web host their professionalism is seriously lacking as shown by this example and many others that I can't remember at this time.

I've been a JustHost customer for the past 2 years now and I admit this company has had its ups and downs but things seem to be going back up for them right now. I did have some problems with unreliability. Luckily for me, the issue wasn't that the whole site was going down but rather I was sometimes getting the page not found errors or internal server error messages. However this seems to be fixed by now. Customer service at the beginning didn't seem to be great either but now it's actually improving. I have just one small site hosted with them that only makes a few dollars a month so I'm not too worried about them being of 100% quality or not. For $3.50 per month JustHost still gives some value for your money. It's definitely not a bad company but maybe they're not for you if you're the type of customer that needs to have a host which is reliable all 100% of the time.

I've been dealing with Bluehost for a while now and it's good so far. I admit I've only been with them for 1 month now after ditching GoDaddy because of too many problems, but so far it seems to be good enough. I called their support twice in the past month that I used their service and noticed a big difference between them and what GoDaddy used to provide for me. With Bluehost the agents are at least interested in answering your question instead of trying to get you to hang up as fast as possible. They took the time to answer all of my questions just to make sure that I was using the right tool for the job.

Sorry to say but this host is bad bad bad bad baaaaaad. Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful staff to add even more damage. Down time was something that happened daily for me. That's right, it was a daily occurrence. They randomly shut down my websites while they were “investigating” that I wasn't sending out junk or using my hosting account to store files. Then they rudely quesioned me about a backup that I had of some site elements about why I was storing 3 different versions of the same file. Eventually I told the guy to F off and that I wouldn't need their service anymore. He didn't seem the bit fazed by this almost as if he was used to getting told off by customers who have enough of Bluehost bullshit. If you're looking for good advice on choosing your next web host then I would give some to you right here: don't sign up with them. They're not even cheap anymore so it's simply NOT worth the trouble they will cause you. StartLogic is now my host of choice. I'm not new with web hosts and used quite a lot of them recently. But StartLogic stood out for me because of very good reliability, generous offerings within their plans which weren't too restrictive like the other hosts. And above all the genuine help that is given by technical support and customer service people at this company all makes it my number one hosting choice. I now use Webhostingpad VPS service. This is the best VPS hosting I've had in a long time. I had a server with another company in the past but it looks like they've gone out of business. Now that I'm building 2 new e-commerce sites needed a good service that was dependable and didn't cost too much. Other companies charge more than $30 per month even for their most basic services. Good thing that now I'm paying $14 for VPS with no contract. Didn't want to pay 3 years in advance with a company that I didn't use before. Turned out to be very great service. Email took a bit of time to set up but they were very helpful and they even apologized for a slight delay in getting the email app ready to work as the control panel was having a bit of trouble that day. This was the only time I ever had any problem with their service. So I would like to give a big thank you to the crew at Webhostingpad for what they've done to help me so far!

A good host. Smaller than other companies but this doesn't mean that they're not good or anything like that. Service here was relatively decent. Sometimes the site would get a bit sluggish when loading but this seems to have disappeared as of the past couple of weeks. Got an email from their support saying they were adding additional servers to the data center in order to cope with increasing demand on their services by new customers. Good to see that the company cares about their clients and is willing to make improvements to their services when necessary. Was very amazed by how fast they answer you when there's a question that you have. They really give 100% for their clients and I'm very happy for that. Low prices also make them more attractive than the competitions when I was choosing the next web host I was going to go with.

So far the Ipage web hosting is quite good. No complaints to make. Service is fast and reliable. Site never went down on me in the past couple of months. Didn't talk to support on the phone but did so once with live chat. Waiting time was about 5 minutes not so bad at all. Price when you first sign up is quite attractive and they sometimes have promotions which will lower the price even more than what is advertised here on this site.

If you're looking for a hosting company that doesn't suck... then run far, far far away from Ipage. One of the worst on the web even though you can find ads for them everywhere now including on this site. Used them a couple months ago for sites that were very simple. Ohh boy what a disaster that was. Sites were going down on a regular basis and this especially happened during the busiest periods of the day. Ipage of course made nothing more than lame excuses for why the problem was happening, such as that they were updating their server, etc. But when you “update” your server 4 times in a month, it looks like there's some BS going on about them an really sad that a company would lie to their clients as well. Same thing with email sending. Sometimes the message would send, sometimes their web based itnerface would just hang and the page would not load any futher so there was no way of knowing whether the message was really sent or not. Nobody knows so Ipage customer care was contacted by me. Basically they told me that they didn't know what was going on and that I should try again. Heh... that's really “technical” support right there for you, their staff don't know anything and probably couldn't tell a web server from a potato. Of course you need to recognize the fact that they're cheap. If you're just going to build a website that you don't really care about as you're not making any money from it than this could be a good web server to put your website in. But in other cases it would be much better to just go someplace else.

Switched from Homestead to Ipage because of complete incompetence at my old web host, not to mention limited services and high prices. Finally I found a company that I'm happy to do business with. Greatly apprectiate everything that Ipage has done for my business. Had a few snags along the way of getting my website transferred over the them. Their support team came in and helped me out completely. Nothing was left to do on my end, they took care of the entire process so that I can get the website going very quickly. I use VPS hosting services at Green Geeks. Server set up was completed within a few hours. All applications are running now, including e-mail, site management and content addition tools. Didn't need any help from them to get set up so I can't comment on whether their technical support is good. But as an experienced user, I knew how to get everything up and running and their control interface is very easy to work with when customizing your server, especially when it comes to adding software to run for your website.

I used to be with a small hosting company that was local to my area. The company was founded about 12 years ago and at that time the price was $11 per month for 1 website which seemed to be OK. Stayed simply because I was too lazy to move hosts, but now changed to GreenGeeks as I was wanting to add multiple websites and the current company that I'm using wanted to charge me $20 for a subdomain and $8 more for each additional website that I would be hosting. When I told them that there are other hosts I found which charge much less they didn't seem to care at all even thgough I've been with them since 1999. Simply let my account expire there and moved all my operation to GreenGeeks. Building additional sites has been easy for me and I like their interface. Not bloated but yet very functional. Technical support by phone is awesome to have for 24 hours a day. My other host only gave support from 9 to 4 PM and they would even charge extra if they needed to do some installation or changes for you, even though they wouldn't let you make many changes from the control panel, just as a way to get more money from users who didn't notice that there's hosting available for 1 / 4 of the price they charge in other places. I'm sure that GreenGeeks is not the only affordable company in town that has great service but as it's the one I've used I will give them 100% marks for all aspects of their web hosting services. I didn't have to call much for support until now, but the times where I needed help from GreenGeeks they were really the most helpful people I could fine. They answered all of my questions completely and gave ecellent advice on how to run the website better and avoid any future problems. Looks like the support staff at GreenGeeks is really intelligent and they know what they're doing about web hosting. The chat feature is actually much better than calling them by phone as you can get the issue resolved a bit quicker than by phone. If there was a problem that couldn't be fixed right away, a ticket was submitted to their higher level technical staff so that it could be fixed. This is truly good quality service and for the low price that they charge for shared hosting, it's really worth it. Thanks a lot GreenGe

I had a few simple questions I needed answered. Contacted support through my account and the people at InMotion were simply fantastic. No waiting, no delays and no stupid, irrelevant or scripted answers like you seem to get with 95% of all the other hosts. It's wonderful to see that in the hosting industry, some companies still seem to know what good customer service is all about. All things together, the experience with InMotion has been simply wonderful and I hope that the great service they gave me so far will continue in the future. I firmly believe that the InMotion Web Hosting team does their best in terms of customer satisfaction. So far, they've always been very helpful for me. I think that they focus on a lot more than simply making money with their web hosting. I would love it if every other internet business would be run in the way that InMotion manages their hosting services. I have been with HostMonster for several years and now host 7 websites on their hosting package. Had way too many issues with my other host, even though they probably tried to fix them. PHP and MySQL issues were constantly happening. This caused me to waste a lot of $$$ and time dealing with that so I decided I was much better off trying another host to see whether things there would work. First uploaded a dummy copy of my site to HostMonster to see if things would work as they should. Surprisingly, everything went really well. For the price they definitely do provide excellent quality.

Even though I didn't know too much about web hosting when I opened up my service with Host Monster, I was delighted by the good help that they've provided me right from the start. They have a lot of useful information for those that are building their website for the first time. Customer support is also friendly and helpful at all times and even gave me good tips on things which aren't really related to their services directly. Price is about $5 per month now. While this may not be the cheapest web host on the planet it's definitely one of the best quality ones as far as I'm concerned. I just wish I had found them before, it would have saved me a lot of problems that I've had with my old hosting provider. Thanks for your good work HostMonster!

We found the Host Monster service online after looking through some hosts, probably because they had a good ranking among other hosts. Things were looking OK when we signed up 3 years ago and only a few times was the server down and even then it was only for a couple of minutes. It's after that that bigger problems started happening. Sites were going down several times a month during the day time, sometimes the downtime on the site would last over an hour. Tech support, during these times would take about 20 minutes to answer you. Same thing for live chat. The only answer they could muster then would be “yah, ok it will be back up in 1 hour ok bye” but in one case the service was interrupted nearly the whole day from 1PM to about 10 PM. Would never do business with Host Monster again. We were losing too many sales. When informed of this, Host monster said that this is not a corporate class service and that they're not responsible for down time. I wonder what kind of customers they want?? some kid who puts a blog with funny cat pictures or something? I guess that's the only thing that Host Monster is good for now. We had to go through a lot of trouble moving our sites and are now very happy with the services of Host Gator. Find the name Host Monster pretty ironic now that their poor quality of service came to light. Will never go back to this host again, obviously.

It's been more than a year and a few months that 2 of my websites are with Fatcow. At the moment I have nothing to complain about. Came here looking for a VPS server or dedicated account as I'm creating a bigger project than what Fatcow shared hosting could be used for. Will still keep my 2 basic sites with them as their price is very low and the good service provided by them makes it very worth while to stay with them. Cool customer support they answer tickets within a few hours in general. Never had a problem with them at all. Would definitely recommend using them to friends and family everywhere.

I signed up with FatCow for a 2 year period because their prices seemed ridiculously low at the time. I know it's kind of my fault since I should have read their service terms more carefully but what they did to me wasn't nice at all. They charged me 3 times the amount I originally paid on my credit card, nearly 2 weeks before my service was scheduled to end. When asked about it they said it was their standard practices. I immediately asked that if they can't give me a better price that they should cancel my account. At first they tried to argue with me but since they probably realized we wouldn't be getting anywhere with that, they agreed to cancel my service immediately. Problem is I was charged an additional fee of $30 or a bit more, dont remember exactly, just to cancel my service and get my money back. So while the service was decent you need to beware of their practices when for their business. They charge you 3 times the amount you paid when you first sign up and then if ever you want to cancel – even if they have a supposed guarantee for your satisfaction, they will charge you more than $30 just to use that “guarantee” as they call it. They need to adjust their billing practices and maybe then they will deserve to be called number one. But the way it is right now, shouldn't be called the best web host because it simply is not!

I can't believe that they were put as the number one hosting here on your site. Came to other sites to check out the other options I got because bing a FatCow customer is obviously not good for me. I moved over one site and almost 10 days later all the problems start. Control panel not available and email not working always error messages making an appearance. Contacted support. This took more than 1 week to fix from them. Then uploaded second web page and started working every day on it. Their fire wall then blocked my IP from logging in to my account. They say it's because there was a spam coming from my IP range. I tell them that I'm with a local provider and IP is dynamic so if idiots were doing spamming attacks on them this will not be my fault and they should take it up with said idiot not to me. After arguments they unlocked my access but this took almost an entire day to get fixed up and during this time I wasted precious time for working on my website. Still got problems with my email services with them even if I bought the domain through them and never changed settings. Sometimes people who sending me emails would get error message saying that the message is rejected but there's nothing wrong with my domain or anything. Maybe they think I am spammer and added my site to black listing or something of the kind with out telling me anything about this stuff. This company is simply wasting my time now. The hosting at Hostgator is fine. Good plans and quite good prices considering the services offered with them. All unlimited so you can host multiple websites with them. Only bummer is that the domain needs to be paid for at $15 per year and that price is really more expensive than the rest in most cases. Even with that they remain a good choice and I recommend Hostgator.

Sorry guys, but Just Host is just bad (haha!) Wayyyy way way way too many problems to describe them all. In summary with them you get the following: Problems with speed upload and download times. Takes hours to upload a website and then accessing it is painfully slow at many times. Technical support blames it on you saying you either have too much stuff running on your computer or your own internet is slow and that this is not their problem. Problems with reliability. Website was down numerous times once it was down for almost 10 hours. Could not access the control panel either. When technical support was finally reached their answer was that this was a problem with the connection at their data center and that they're working on it. Good thing is that at least this time they didn't try to blame the problem on my own computer. Bad technical support. They use the same people for sales, customer service and technical support, so you can be guaranteed that when you talk to someone they won't have too much of a clue about how web hosting is supposed to work or anything of the sort. Furthermore, they are almost always rude and impatient trying to get you to leave them alone all of the time. There was one rep that was actually competent and knew how a human being should behave but apparently he didn't last long so there are only animals remaining in their staff at the current time. So if you don't want to deal with a human then this is the company for you. They're cheap. Yeah that's true they are. But is it really worth it? No. There are many free web hosts which don't put ads on your pages or redirect traffic which would give you a generous hosting package for basic sites that are completely FREE and.... much better than Just Host in my experience. So even though it's cheap, the problems are just not worth it. Maybe if they were charging $1 per month with no contract I wouldn't be saying anything and just let it go. But since they charge around $4 and require you to pay in advance they should be held to a standard which is the same as any other decent quality paid hosting company. Since they're incapable of doing that you need to avoid them altogether. Bottom line is avoid Just Host. Not worth the trouble. Cheap and even free hosts are out there which are way better. I'm not even sure what this company is doing on your list. Maybe they use to be good before. However right now the place is a mess and unless new management comes in and fixes this thing it won't be going anywhere. Not sure how they manage to even stay in business.

Nice host that does everything correctly! Never any down time or problems with my email here unlike 1 & 1 where I alsways had trouble getitng email to the right box for some reasons. Glad that when I switched the host I decided on, which is Bluehost worked much much better than the other host I got before. Needed a bit of help with the file uploader and was given a good solution. Did not wait for the tech support rep to get on the chat it was instant in less than one minute. Speed of service is always appreciated especially when you got used to waiting several minutes to get served with other providers at least Bluehost is instant in helping you.

Looking at overall hosting quality I believe Bluehost is good. I just used 2 other hosts in the past so I don't have that much to compare them to and the other hosts were performing relatively well. My site was uploaded quickly using their web based tools, however you can of course use FTP if there are a lot of files to transfer. Editing the website code on the fly was easy, such as when adding stats tools and some banners right away without having to re-up the whole page. Making a local backup of the site worked well even though it was a tad slow at times to download, however the essential was that the pages loaded fast for me and the website visitors. I never called them nor did I send them email as there were no technical issues I needed help with. Price is good over all for the good services of this company.

Very good web hosting from Ipage. My site stayed online the vast majority of the time. There were a few times where I got an error message and had to reload the page for it to appear but these were only on rare occasions. One other great thing I saw is that they have a very complete documentation guide about how their hosting service works and what you can do with it. Contacted customer services once because of a question about billing and renewal. I admit had to wait about 10 minutes which wasn't that fun but still it was early during the day so I could understand. And I know that the majority of people calling the service just didn't bother reading the insutrction materials provided as the vast majority of questions you have will be answered there and if you want to do something fast you can change the settings in the control panel by yourself for most things you would want to do with your hosting account at Ipage. While I agree with others that Ipage may not be the number one hosting company because there are sometimes a few errors on the website or the control panel, though rarely now and their customer service is not the fastest, they will still be very good if you want basic web hosting at a very good price.

Started my VPS account with GreenGeeks less than 2 months ago and I'm already very impressed by their service. Having switched from a shared web host that was always giving me problems, I wanted a more powerful and more reliable service that I could use. It's great to see that GreenGeeks did that job quite well. One thing that was the most amazing about them was the customer service. Luke did a very good job helping me with my account getting set up and explaining how their VPS hosting features actually work as this was the first time that I used VPS hosting for my website. I know that there are now a lot of hosting companies on the market and I'm sure many of them are quite good for what they offer. But if you need the very best and only the very best then I would recommend InMotion with no reservation. Simply put the service is excellent. Customer support team is extremely attentive to your needs and all questions get answered very fast. No waiting 20 minutes for someone to answer while listening to lame elevator music like you would get with many of the other big hosts that have too many clients but too few staff to take care of them. Prices are a bit higher than the norm and plans may seem a bit more complicated than the rest but its all for the best actually because they don't make false promises that all would be unlimited for a cheap price and then backtrack on that like competing hosts.

Hostgator is more expensive then the competition so maybe this is why it's on place 10 on the list for the top ten web hosts. But I still believe that this company could have been placed higher mainly because of how good their plans are. They have some limits like to the quantity of processes you can run and the number of files you can store but these are indicated clearly in the control panel. Had no issues running 7 different sites and 3 of these were ecommerce sites that were running with a Magento installation that was provided by Hostgator in their Fantastico tool. Only had one time where I contacted billing to restore my account after I forgot to pay the hosting on time. Service was good and very friendly site was restored within 20 minutes of talking to them.

Okay, I will admit that Just Host may not be the best hosting business in the world . Even with that Just Host isn't so bad after all. There are a few times where service was down in the past 2 years but it was always for a limited amount of time, usually less than an hour. I can deal with that without too many problems. Their customer support is not the fastest but when I had a question it was always answered fully in a way that actually took the original question in consideration. Price is also very low and I got an even bigger discount when I signed up so I eneded up paying under $3.00 a month for my hosting with the Coupon Code that they gave at sign up time. I think Just Host would be an average hosting provider. While it's not spectacular their service works well and I had not too mouch troubles with them.

Compared to the past host I had, Bluehost is a lot more reliable and customer services are much more responsive. At least you get a good answer to your question in a timely manner as opposed to just getting an automatic reply that never resolved anything. When I signed up there was a promotion so I get to pay about $4 per month until next year. After that we will see what the price is and if it's still reasonable than I will stay around with Bluehost and renew my services with them again.

Web Hosting Pad is a good web hosting service. The price you pay is good since you get 5 year's worth of hosting for the same price that you would be paying for just 2 or 3 years in another web host. This means that paying for 5 years isn't really that bad as you get to pay about $2 per month. One thing though, the domain is only free for the first year and you have to pay for it at the regular price after. But I got my domain from another company where I only pay about $7 per year for domain renewal so it's not that bad for me but just would like to let others know. A good thing though about Web Hosting Pad is that it looks like the company really cares about its customers. They have good support which replies to your messages very fast, in fact much faster than the rest of the hosting places.

I'm not new in the hosting arena. In the past 10 years or so I've got plenty of hosting accounts that I used and still have about 4 of them. Used many kinds of hosting as well, like shared hosting, vps and cloud based services. Ipage would rank about in the middle for me. I have 2 small business sites hosted there, not for me but for my clients. It seems to work quite well for them as the sites don't get an excessive amount of traffic each day. Haven't seen any major interruptions at this place - therefore I could say that reliability has not actually been much of a problem for me or my clients with Ipage web hosting. Never used their support though so I can't say how good they would be if you actually run into problems. They're cheap and provide a relatively decent service for what I use them for.

Very reliable eco-friendly hosting at its best. I know that right now a lot of web hosts have jumped in on the whole Green Energy Hosting bandwagon but I think Green Geeks is one of the first ones and they're the best at what they do. Also for those who are concerned about the environment, you should know that Green Geeks does a lot more than many of the other, supposedly green hosts, by making changes to the way their offices run in order to conserve energy, rather than simply buying energy credits for their data center. About the service it was quite good for me even though it costs about a dollar more than the competitors. I never suffered from any interruptions of my web hosting while at Green Geeks and now it's been just over a year that I'm using them as my main web hosting company for 2 of my business websites.

I was promoting a small movie that I made with a few friends and needed a good web host. Host Monster did the job rather well. Took the 1 year hosting package and got started. I already created 75% of my website by that point so all I had to do was to upload it. Uploading the site was good, a bit slow at times however the whole website was up in less than 30 minutes. Download speeds are great with Host Monster and there were never any problems accessing the site after it was created. Updating and maintiaining the site was very easy after. Email worked perfectly too. If I ever need web hosting for another project that of course I will use Host Monster again.

I know there's many hosting companies out there but not all of them are the same. FatCow is one of the best in the industry. You get full, unlimited service all of it at the very low price of under $4 per month. This is really hard to beat. I've been with other companies that were cheap in the past and I've had all the problems like unreliable servers, non existent customer support, problems getting the website to stay up, etc. Good thing that there's none of that stuff when you go with FatCow for your web hosting. For the low price they charge FatCow is excellent. Got one domain through them and when I saw that everything was working well transferred some other domains to my hosting account at FatCow too. I recently switched all of my sites from Go Daddy to HostGator. There's many reasons that caused me to do this. First, Go Daddy has too much of a “corporate” attitude towards their customers in which they they were nothing but numbers in their computer system. You had to wait over 20 minutes when calling them by phone and the replies that you got when you contact them by email were often just form letters which don't address the issue that you asked at all. Furthermore many of the servers at Go Daddy seemed to be way too slow possibly due to the fact that they have too many customers that use their services now. When I made the change to HostGator I immediately noticed much better service. There were no slow times and the sites would all load extremely fast no matter what time of the day it was or how many visitors were already on the site. Installing things like Joomla or forum tools was much easier in Fantastico and it had the latest version of all software that you could need for your website. While I admit that the prices are higher with HostGator, there are many advantages to using them over Go Daddy. You can pay per month and get the exact same services than you would if you had taken 1, 2, or 3 years of service. The only difference is that the rate would be higher a bit. The Baby plan is the best at HostGator as you can have unlimited amounts of websites and parked domains. The only thing that isn't good is the amount they charge for domains. $15 per domain per year is a bit too much in my opinion. This is why I took my domains through Network Solutions as they had a promotions going on where you can get a domain name for just $5 per year. Pointing the domain over to HostGator was very easy and done simply by changing the name servers. Email was working right away and the website was available in less than a few hours for me. Since I didn't have any bad experiences with HostGator and they're much superior to GoDaddy I would recommend them if you want a hosting company that is very dependable and supports an unlimited amount of websites in one account. You will probably be very happy with the services you get as their limits are quite generous and not restrictive like other web hosts. If you want dedicated or reseller hosting types they have these as well but these are of course more expensive than just using shared web hosting.

Just like a lot of people I'm with Host Gator for a long time, since 2007 to be precise. I now have an Aluminum reseller hosting account as I have a lot of web sites even though I don't resell hosting space at the moment. I see that many of the negative comments coming from people using Host Gator are from those that don't understand what shared hosting is. You can't expect a website that has 100 000 visitors a day to perform well on a shared hosting account that costs $7 per month. If you have that many daily visitors you're surely making enough money monetizing the site to afford a better plan. I'm looking to see what the upgrade options are if I need a more powerful hosting than the Aluminum reseller plan and am considering either the VPS or Dedi options. Good thing that Host Gator has some powerful hosting solutions and not just shared hosting. Had a few billing issues and issues with the server but that's nothing worth going into details since this was all fixed by Host Gator very quickly. I don't even remember what the problems were so this goes to say that it wasn't anything that affected my business in any negative way. No matter whether your site is big or small Host Gator will always have a hosting solution for you. The only thing that you need to do on your part is to select the hosting option that will be the most appropriate for the type of site you're going to build and the amount of visitors you're expecting to get. If you do the homework on your end then Host Gator will work fine for you.

Decent overall but can be problematic at times. JustHost is not the fastest of the web hosts and during several periods especially in the early morning the site is very slow to completely load. Cheap but you get what you pay for. If your site doesn't demand too much in terms of speed I would say go for it. But if you really need fast web hosting there could be some other companies that would be better. The good side is that I never talked to their support because the documentation provided by JustHost is very complete and accurate. It may take a minute or two to find the entry in their knowledge base regarding what you're trying to do but you will find the answers to the most common questions about building and running a website.

My experience with Justhost is really great and I'm now switching some sites over from Go Daddy to this host. I like their interface a lot better and find that it's more user friendly. A lot more simple to use. Great help resources which will be very useful if you're new to them and want to understand how everything works. Support is a lot faster to answer you than with Go Daddy where I sometimes needed to wait more than 15 minutes before someone even came on the line to help me out. A good plus with Justhost is that when you use their hosting service the domain name is free for life with your first website. I saw that a lot of web hosts advertise a free domain name but it's just for one year. Good thing that Justhost is able to give you a domain as long as you stay with them.

I've gone through a few web hosts and some smaller local companies but they were all very expensive. So I tried to see what the bigger hosts were and came across an ad for Just Host. The unlimited hosting there is a lot more affordable and for me things worked just as well. I appreciate the fact that I can have two websites on my account with two separate domains and not just a subdomain of my main site and still pay the same low price. They gave me a discount code when I signed up so I pay a little over $3 for my web hosting. I'm very happy and I hope that my relationship with Just Host will last for a long time as they've been giving me good service on a consistent basis right now.

Bluehost is fine but it's a little pricy. Now that my service has been renewed I'm paying about $9 per month for their unlimited package. Out of all hosts this has got to be the worse. Bluehost shut down my account about 5 times in the past year and it was all for the dumbest reasons. The first time they were going through all of my files to make sure that I wasn't sharing any copyrighted content as I was offering e-books for download. The issue here is that this was all public domain material. It took them 2 days to sort this mess out. I should have left right there but I decided it would be too much trouble to leave and go to another company at that time. Then they suspended my account twice because I was apparently using too much bandwidth. In reality I was using less than 2 GB of data transfer each month. They claim it's unlimited but it looks like they're not telling the truth to their clients. Customer service was rude when speaking to them by phone and slow to get to you when you send them an email. Would not recommend Bluehost at all to you.

StartLogic is perfect as a small business host. I switched to them because the old host I was using was just raising their rates each year and trying to get people to buy more and more services while doing nothing to improve their reliability problems. Glad that at StartLogic everything was very reliable and I never ran into any trouble making things work for me. Transfering my site over to them was doen very quickly. Before signing up I spoke with their sales department and it was very clear to me that this is a company that actually knows what they're doing. Looking for a good VPS host and I found Web Hosting Pad. I just needed the most basic service and I found it with them. For less than $10 a month I get a VPS server which works extremely well for my website's needs. I found a few other companies that chagre such a low rate but they all require that you pay in advance for at least one or two years which I really didn't want to do. They have very good VPS options at Web Hosting Pad because to get the best rate you only need to pay 6 months in advance. You can get the monthly option as well but then it becomes a bit more expensive. Still excellent value for their price. I don't know how good their shared hosting services are since I've never used shared hosting with Web Hosting Pad but I can at least confirm to you all that when it is VPS web hosting then Web Hosting Pad rocks

very very bad. They kicked out my 3 websites by claiming that they were under DDOS attack because of them but this is something that never actuaally happened. Sites were getting about 30 hits a day each and there is just no way that there was an attack going on with just that. The scripts provided like for the forum and picture gallery rarely worked as they should and it took a lot of tweaking and tinkering to get things going. Really? Maybe if you told the truth in the first place I wouldn't have to call out your stupidity and lies in the first place Mr. Pinocchio. Eventually got my money back after fighting with them for over 3 months about it. Here again lies and more lies about when the refund will be processed. If you've read this than you probably know by now that Ipage should be avoided. Even if your needs are all too simple and you want very cheap hosting then you shouldn't go here at all. There's providers which are very cheap but which provide efficient service now. I wish I had known more about hosting when I built my first website as it would have saved me the trouble of getting into this mess to begin with. Now somebody is spamming me with Ipage offers trying to get me back. I don't know if it's them directly or one of their affiliates but of course they're wasting their time as I wouldn't go back to them even if their service was $0.01 peryear.

I've had a reseller web hosting account for one year now and I can finally tell you that I found a hoster that I love. Nothing and I say nothing beats getting chat support in just a few seconds without waiting, which was very rare in other hosts. The uptime is excellent. The most that their service was down was for about 6 hours last month due to the fact that they've had some issue with their servers. But the rest of the time, everything is flawless. While I know that a few providers will give cheaper services for reseller account, if you're serious about your business in the reseller market you do NOT want to go cheap, as it will only cause a disaster for you in the end.

I had two business sites before which were hosted by Homestead and Yahoo Small Business hosting. Left these companies after I found out that their hosting services were simply too limited and their support staff knew next to zero about web hosting. I've been a lot more lucky with InMotion, I can say. There's never been a single problem that they couldn't solve for me right away. Once there was an issue with one of their apps in the control panel which they escalated to somebody else in their department. It was fully repaired within 6 hours. I could have never gotten such a good level of customer support from any previous host that I was with in the last decade. InMotion is worth every penny. They're even cheaper than what I used to pay with Yahoo which was over $15 a month but didn't provide even half of the services that come standard with an InMotion business plan and the support was simply horrible over there.

I didn't have to call into InMotion support very often but when I did, they were awesome and very helpful. They would even answer questions that didn't really have too much to do with their web hosting service directly. With the 24 hour a day, 7 day a week support, we could get help even in the late hours. But I saw that their chat option was even greater than having to call them for support, as you can get a quick answer to your question right away. This is perfect if you want to get a rapid answer to something you need to know about building your site or maintaining it. With all the great service that they provide, I will certainly be staying with InMotion for quite a long time now.

I was comparing HostMonster to some other web hosting services. All the other ones really seemed to make offers that were too good to be true. HostMonster is not the cheapest web hosting company at $5.95 per month but they're worth the money you spend on them. Service and speed are all excellent here. My website is never down. My previous host seemed to have a lot of trouble keeping their service working for all of their customers and this is something that never happened with HostMonster. Everything combined, they're the best hosting company that I've ever used. I signed up for a 3 year plan and I'm now 2 years in the service with no complaints at all.

When I began my service with Hostmonster I didn't know anything about how web hosting worked. It was a bit overwhelming at the beginning to build a business website. After switching over from Just Host I enjoyed all the simplicity and relative better quality that Host Monster offered but things went downhill very fast. There have been many times in the past month that the servers hosting my website have gone down. Once, it was for 2 entire days and today again it was down for more than 3 hours. This is quite simply unacceptable. Because of the problems of Host Monster I am losing rankings on Google. Support by using live chat has gotten very poor as of late. Bad, quite bad. Fatcow caught my interest when I saw information about them on a reviews site. I bought hosting for 2 years in order to get the minimum price. But then they bombard you with upsell offers during the registration process and after in the control panel when you log in. You gotta be very careful that you unchecked all the useless stuff otherwise you may get stuck paying for something that you don't want in the first place. To make things more convenient for me I got their so called professional service to make them move over 3 of my sites. When I was contacting them in chat they said that it would cover all of the sites. Then I found out that it's only for one site. After reading their site further I also saw that once your term is expired they will charge you many times more than what you pay for. One guy I spoke with in sales is also the same one in tech support which probably means that they don't even have a dedicated support department that actually knows things about how hosting works. I'm going to be moving my sites out of here quickly. Hope there will be no problem getting my refund as they claim in their so called satisfaction guarantee.

While I see you guys have put FatCow at the top like it's the top super company, I would like to say that it's a good company but they have their problems too like any other one. Unlimited doesn't really mean unlimited of course and if you exceed a certain amount of data transfer per month, they will warn you to bring it down, so hosting large files like videos is out. The introductory rates are excellent, but if you renew your service you will need to pay about 3 times more, which would bring them in line with some of the more expensive companies on the net. Service as far as technical support goes is adequate, there is a bit of waiting times but it's not too bad though. I would be recommending this host for those who really need something cheap and who don't have large sites, but if it was all things combined maybe they would be in 3rd or 4th spot and not at number one position on your list.

I'm new to website development. I've been doing some research on web hosting services and found a few that I like. Money is not that big of a deal since right now I have a few clients lined up so I pretty much have a budget of about $50 a month in total for my web hosting services. I have 3 paid hosting accounts and 4 free ones with some of the best free hosting companies that don't put banners in your sites, for clients that have very small needs. Of the paid hosts, I will tell you that FatCow is very affordable and the services reliability is one of the greatest. With other hosts there has always been a few minor issues, like an error message here and there, Cpanel down for a few hours, etc. but with FatCow this never happened. So I will give them a 100% grade according to my own opinions. I have 3 client sites hosted with them right now and it's all going great.

The hosting at HostGator is the best. I'm not sure why you put this company at the bottom of the list in the top ten web hosts list, because it should much better be at the top of the list. The prices are not cheap, but then again they SHOULD NOT be if it's a quality web host. Many of your companies that are too cheap are cheap for a reason, they oversell their space and cut back on customer service. Plus, they claim everything is unlimited and kick you out if you get more than 20 visitors a day. Good thing that this kind of crap never happens with HostGator. I'm able to have 8 sites on their package which costs me $9.95 per month as I'm paying monthly. Couldn't have been more satisfied with a hosting company in the entire time that I've had websites. Go Gator! They deserve to be at the top spott!

I'm done with Bluehost and my stay with them wasn't a very good one during the whole year. First of all getting up and running was a complete mess. They disabled my site right from the beginning and then asked me to send identification and credit card copies. Had to do this twice because the first time they claimed that nothing was received. Then had problems getting the email to work with my domain. Took almost a week to get sorted out as technical support was quite useless. I wouldn't recommend this host to anybody here. For the price that they charge now, you will find much better web hosting with different providers. Bluehost is just not worth the time wasting and frustration that you will go through if you decide to host with them. I really should have done my research more before jumping in here.

Good for hosting small websites. I have my site there on hteir most basic package now for tha past 4 years and it works fine. Never had to contact their support as it all worked really well from the very beginning and the site that I run is pretty low maintenance, so I don't make too many changes to it on a regular basis. Would recommend WebhostingPad if you're looking for a good, basic web hosting facility that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, plus offers much better service than other cheap hosts.

As an Ipage customer, I'm a bit disappointed at what this company has become now. Three years ago when I first opened an account here things were going quite well. Almost zero down time and support was always very fast to get back to you, no matter what your question was. Now, I'm having more and more frequent outages, both for the website and for e-mail. Sometimes my messages take several hours to arrive in my inbox even when I know that they've been sent already. I feel really bad for those who took a package with Ipage and have thought that this was a good choice for web hosting. I came to this site to see if others are having the same problems and it would like like I'm really not the only one. I know that they're not good if your site is very big, but my two sites barely take over 600 MB of space and get about 50 visitors a day, so it's not the size of the site, plus I'm not running any complex software or anything of the sort. Their technical support now seems interested in just getting rid of you as fast as possible as opposed to actually helping you with anything. Would certainly not recommend them anymore to anybody.

I really enjoy using the Green Geeks service. Setting up my account went over very fast and without any problems at all. I was up and running in less than 15 minutes. Uploading all the basic files to my website was done very fast and so was setting up the Joomla hosting as it was provided with their installer. The very good thing is that they have the latest version of Joomla already available in the installer for me to set up on my site. Contacted tech support by email twice and they've been awesome in helping me. Replied in less than 3 hours on a week end. Plus, this host does a lot for the environment and for nature if you read what they do about it on their website. For now, they will stay my top choice for web hosting even if I have other hosting accounts that I'm using as part of my work.

Simply the best hosting that I've seen in quite a while at InMotion. Even though the hosting quality is of the highest tier, what makes the true difference is the quality of their additional services and support. Never had trouble with my email, either through the web mail interface they got or through accessing it on my mobile using POP3 settings. Setting email up on my mobile was very quick and easy thanks to the instructions provided by InMotion. Other tools, such as the e-commerce cart, Drupal for my other site as well as server side stats for all my sites worked very well right from the beginning. This is different from my other hosting companies where their features often don't work and support ignores any issues with them claiming that they don't provide help for third party tools and software. At InMotion, the support has been superb the few times where I had questions. They answer you RIGHT AWAY. Not even a minute of waiting time, they will be on your case immediately to help you. Very polite, professional and they get the job done on the very first attempt, no waiting for weeks for someone intelligent to fix your problem for you like I've had in so many other past web hosting companies I was using. InMotion really needs to be number one on your list of the top ten web hosts.

The good thing about FatCow is that they're much much better than all the different hosting companies I've tried over the last couple of years now. Sure, I've had some good experiences with other hosts, even free hosts, but FatCow has been the best of them all. You pay almost nothing and you get very reliable and functional service. I was with a smaller company before that charged you $10 per month for just one website and even charged you $25 to add a subdomain and an e-commerce cart that was essentially free software. With FatCow everything is included and you can host unlimited websites and domains. This is what I really like about them. I hope they will continue with their excellent service as I really want to stay with them, they've been the best for me so far.

Not too bad as a host, but could use a bit of improvement in some areas. Running e-commerce tools like Magento seems a bit unstable, probably because of lack of server resources. About 1/5 th of the time when I try to sign into the control panel of my e-commerce site (not the HostGator Cpanel though), I get an Internal Server Error message or a time out. At least the main site seems to operate with no problems up to now. Another thing is that while their tech support is available 24 hours a day, contacting them in the early morning is not the best idea. I always find myself in queue behind 50 other people and need to wait like 10 minutes before I get to speak to somone. WHen they finally answer, then I get to wait another 5 minutes before they access the account and start working. But for the powerful service they give at a low price, for now everything is satisfactory.

They look cheap at first, but Webhostingpad is nothing but a cash grab. They try to make you sign up for all kinds of additional services. They offer a trial of backup and spam protection services but then bill you for a full year if you don't cancel within a month. They're definitely using bad business practices and I don't recommend dealing with this host under any case. Their service is also much slower than anything else I've seen in the business. ALmost like a free host, but at least with a free host you don't pay anything. Uploading a 1MB file took over 15 minutes once and it;s definitely not a problem with my own connection as I use other services that uploading such a file takes less than 1 minute. Not recommended at all!

Not the best hosting here. While Ipage may be good for some sites, I have two e-commerce sites right now and it's errors galore. Random time outs, internal server error or page not found errors, even though everything is set up correctly in the shopping cart software they provided and it contains no additional plugins or modifications. Of course, tech support at Ipage says that there's nothing that they can do about it since this is third part software and blah blah blah. They say that there's nothing wrong with my account or with their server, but I know that this is not the case since plenty of other people use the same software than my sites and don't have these issues. Since they obviously don't care enough about fixing the problem I'm going to be leaving Ipage very soon as soon as I find a better hosting.

GreenGeeks is the best web host of all time, according to my experience. Their service in itself was quite good and I didn't have nything negative to say about it. Just had a bit of trouble setting up my email to work with an email client on my phone. When I contacted the tech support they were able to fix all of this for me within about 5 minutes. This is the best kind of service I've gotten from a web hosting company in a really long time. When you contact GreenGeeks support there is never any waiting time and they always have someone available. All support is based in North America which is excellent as you don't have to deal with foreign call centers where nobody understands anything that you want. Even though the price is not that cheap I will still be keeping my service with them simply for the quality.

If you need some high performance hosting then i would recommend InMotion business class hosting all the way. While their personal hosting packages are quite limiting, their business class hosting is truly the best. I can honestly say that for the past 1 year with InMotion I've been extremely satisfied with their hosting and have gotten a lot better service than with any other web hosting company that I dealt with during the last 3 years or so. This really shows their commitment to helping their customers get the best possible kind of web hosting. They've helped me set up my web site when there were a few problems with Joomla, but besides this I've never had any serious issue with them. StartLogic is one of the best, if not the best hosting company I've gotten so far. While HostGator has been good to me as well, I find the service at StartLogic to be more competent and professional. There's never any waiting time if you contact them for a question. Your hosting control panel is very well equipped and the scripts and software that they have like e-commerce and blog tools are all the latest versions and updated on a regular basis. This is very good One small thing is that StartLogic is not the cheapest web host so may not suit those who are looking to find the rock bottom price when it comes to a hosting providers. I have a reseller account with Host Gator at the moment and there are over 15 sites being hosted with them, some are mine while some are of my business partners. Every single site works very well and there is zero down time with Host Gator. Setting up Joomla and Drupal, as well as an e-commerce platform on one of the sites was very easy. Adding and removing subdomains is also very easy to accomplish. The control panel interface they use is very simple to figure out and I never needed to contact them for anything. After all, if you own an online business, you should be running your business and not spending hours on the phone with the support team of your web host. The reseller plans are quite affordable which works out really well for the budget. I also have one personal account hosted with them on their basic plan. If any of you are serious about getting a good hosting then Host Gator would be the one that I recommend. I've recommended them to a lot of people and they've all been quite happy with what they've gotten from Host Gator

My best advice would be to avoid. Hostgator will suspend your entire account very quickly if you're growing too fast and of course there's no advance warning or any details provided to you as to what just happened with them. Customer support staff have been very rude to me and in the chat it sometimes takes them 5 or 6 minutes to even answer you. Before they canceled me I was having issues with the site loading much too slowly. They claimed that it had nothing to do tiwht their servers and that it was an internet connectivity problem. I lost a lot of money after they took my websites offline. This is even if I have the most expensive business hosting plan with them they still think that I'm too much for them to handle. Now paying about $20 monthly for the plan should have made them happy, but it really looks like they don't want my business, so I obviously don't want to be staying with them. Moved all of my websites to a temporary server run by an associate of mine and I'm now trying to figure out a more permanent solution. Definitely not recommended at all.

Just Host just disabled all of my account (no pun intended). I had 3 websites with them and they said that one of them was generating too much load on their servers. This is peculiar to me as all of my sites get less than 30 visitors per day and are very light. By doing so, I lost access to all of my sites and my e-mail. Just Host wouldn't tell me which site was the problem. When I asked them why they hadn't warned me beforehand or only disabled the site that was causing them problems, they got very defensive and said that I should read their rules and that they don't do that. Actually getting a hold of them is also difficult as their support is very slow. When you call them, they act very rude and it's clear that they would rather do something else than help you out. I won't even bother to try to reason with them to restore my websites, as using logical arguments with them is of no use, talking to my dog about it would have yielded more results.

Plenty of legitimate emails that I'm supposed to receive either never arrive, are marked as spam even though they're emails addressed directly to me and not some kind of “spammy” stuff like newsletters or promos, or arrive hours later. With outgoing email there has been similar issues as well. Some of the recipients never receive my emails, others don't get the attachments even though I put them in and they were legitimate .DOC office documents, or the email arrives several hours late too. BlueHost support said they would investigate, but there doesn't seem like there's going to be a resolution. When I asked to speak with one of their supervisors, I was passed on to somebody else that told me basically the same thing. If I don't get some idea of how to get this fixed, then the obvious solution would be for me to change hosts and ditch BlueHost. I'm satisfied with their hosting, but it's their constant issues with email that annoy me to no end and I really need to have e-mail as part of my business. I'm just wondering if anybody here has had the same or similar issues with them right now or in the past and how it got fixed.

My service has been with Bluehost for well over a decade now and right now I still have many of my websites as well as client sites hosted with them. It surprises me a lot to see some of the bad reviews left by some of the users here. I've experienced my share of poor quality hosting but it wasn't really with Bluehost. Most of the really bad hosts online right now are small companies that are run by “entrepreneurs” who think they will become big in the hosting arena but in reality don't actually know what they're doing or how a web host is supposed to be run. The only problems I've had with BH were a few cases of down time on some of my websites but it wasn't really that big deal as the websites were restored after less than 15 minutes. To me Bluehost should at least be in the top three best web host ratings.

I think WebHostingPad is more suited for users whose needs are really basic. I know that the majority of small time web masters don't use features like Cron Jobs, however it is necessary for me to update some content on my site. It looked like it wasn't available, but after talking to them they have to enable it manually, which they did for me. Still would have appreciated if it was there from the start, would have saved both of us some time. Also, regarding FTP, it's not possible to create separate FTP user and password accounts. This would have been nice to let some of our workers upload content to certain sites directly. Whiel the hosting options at WebHostingPad work 100% of the time with no major incident, this service isn't really geared towards professional users, but mostly for personal and really small business web sites.

In my business, I'm involved with managing and building a number of websites for about a dozen regular clients. This gave me the opportunity to work with most of the web hosts on your list and some other, smaller ones. Regarding webhostingpad.com I have nothing but positive things to say. The tech support is very quick to respond if something doesn't work the way that it should. Unlike other companies I've seen, WebHostingPad tech support is actually able to do what tech should do: fix problems right away!

When I saw that WebHostingPad was such a cheap company, I thought that there would be a lot of limitations on what you can do and that it would look more like a free hosting account where you can just put a few pages on and not really change anything. But here you can actually add subdomains, make changes to the htaccess file, etc. All for a very good price. For my clients that want a simple, powerful and inexpensive service provider, I always tell them about WebHostingPad...

Very happy with Ipage right from the start. Experimented building a site with several tools. It's true what others say in that their web builder tool is not the best thing in the world. So resorted to creating a site with WordPress and a theme. Worked remarkably well. None of my site visitors said anything about problems with loading time or things of the sort. Ipage is certainly my best choice for web hosting right now. Quite cheap and very functional.

Overall the services at Ipage are good for me. Uploading the website has been very easy and there weren't any problems during that process. Pointing over my domains to their servers has also gone through without any issue. The only problem I've had was in the first few weeks there were problems with the speed of their servers. Some pages on my site would look like they're taking forver to load completely. After complaining to them they said they were upgrading their server infrastructure to fill the needs better. It looks like they actually did it because I haven't had a single problem in the past few months. For those who want very affordable and good hosting, Ipage is a great choice in my opinion.

Tried running an e-commerce site with Magento on Ipage. If only I'd found your site earlier it would have avoided me all of the problems that I've been through in the past couple of days. Random disconnections from the server when viewing my website. Also problems when I was in the admin panel for my site. The only thing that their tech was able to see that it was some kind of problem with the database connection. Asked them to fix it and at first they said they don't provide support for e-commerce sites. Then I told them they should at least try as it is a problem with the server and not my software. They reluctantly agreed. I'm now waiting for the second day for somebody to fix this. It looks like they lied to me and they're not going to do anything after all. Too bad for them, but now I'm in the market to find a different provider. Just too much trouble for me to handle here.

What happened to me at GreenGeeks has been horrible to say the least. Their servers are way too overcrowded. This can be seen if you're running a Drupal site with an e-commerce plug in of some sort. Your website's catalog will take 4 times the normal time that it should load. The most recent big problem was a crash of their server. After pressing tech support to see what the real issue was, they said that it was a problem of the file system used on the server's storage and that it would take a couple of hourse to actually rebuild the disk. Ok, this is bad, but what happened for real was even worse. It took them more than 1 day to get the site running again. That's right, 1 full day wasted. I really won't be using them again, that's for sure.

I truly love GreenGeeks as a web host and I really mean that. Had a huge problem where my site got hacked over the weekend. Apparently, several other sites were targeted for random hacking for no reason at all. Even though it was late in the evening on a Sunday, their tech support dude helped me a lot and restored the site completely from my most recent backup. After a few checks on my end, the site was fully operational again in less than an hour after I noticed the issue. Was given some excellent advice on how to increase the security of my websites, as they were running on an older version the Joomla hosting system and with some plugins that weren't that secure. GreenGeeks really saved my website and I appreciate what they did a lot. Service was friendly and very efficient, just like it should have been with a top quality host like them.

I was considering to sign up for their cheap personal hosting, but found their services to be quite limiting. So if you go with InMotion, I would strongly suggest that you go with their business class hosting, as you get better features like access to more software and scripts, as well as sub domains and additional websites that you can add in your account. You also get better statistics and tracking features and the difference is that you can chose to prepay for 12 or 24 months, as opposed to only 24 months with their personal class hosting. While I wish that InMotion was less expensive than what they charge now, the top quality service that I got from them makes paying a bit more for my hosting as something that's definitely worth it. Plus, as others have already mentioned previously, the technical support team at InMotion is unmatched and in my opinion is the best out of any IT related company that I've had in the past several years. InMotion is not for those who are looking to save a few cents here and there and would seek out the cheapest web hosting on the internet. But for those like me that want a service which will always be fully functional and that gives me everything that I need to make my site work at 100% then they would be the top choice.

Currently, I'm using their Business Class Power Hosting package. On a 12 month plan, it costs about $9 per month. I was a bit hesitant to pay for 1 year in advance due to problems I've had with another host, but eventually after reading the reviews on your website about InMotion I decided to take the test to see if they were really living up to their good reputation. Everything turned out to be very good. You have 6 websites on one account and up to 100 sub domains. It's not unlimited like the cheap hosting companies do, but at least InMotion is honest and places limitations on their service that are reasonable and that any sensible person will understand. Not like the other shared hosting companies which claim that everything will be unlimited and then people run into problems when they try to host 20 websites on a $3 a month hosting service account. Also one thing I like is that you can have up to 50 different MySQL databases on your service, which is actually more than most of the different hosts allow. Great upload and download speed, never any slow periods and never has any of my sites been down because of a problem caused by InMotion. Simply put, this company is the greatest web host I've been dealing with in quite a long time and I'm very satisfied to be among their customers!!!

I'm now a customer of InMotion's VPS service. I was looking out for the best VPS service and I think that I found it right now. For $40 per month, you get 245 MB or RAM 40 GB of disk space and 500 GB of data transfer. The difference between InMotion and the other VPS providers is that the data transfer speed here is much better than at all other places I've been using so far. I have to admit that their service is more expensive than the other companies. I know that it's possible to get something similar for about $20 to $25 per month with different providers, but the main difference between InMotion and the rest would be the service quality. You get reliable, 100% up time each and every day. The documentation provided with their VPS service is excellent and you will rapidly learn how to manage your server on your onw. Set up was very fast and I had access to my server right away. If you want the cheapest web hosting service for VPS than maybe this is not the place for you. But if you're in search of service that will work each and every time because your website demands reliability, then you should look at what InMotion has to offer and you're really not likely to be disappointed with their offers. Remember, if you want good quality, then you must be prepared to pay for that good quality as well...

This company has some very good points and almost no negative ones at all. Their customer support alone would make you want to do business with them. Whether you contact them by phone, by email or by live chat, they will always be very helpful and do their best to answer the questions that you have., no matter how easy or how compicated the situation might be. When you speak on live chat, there's somebody there all the time that will answer you within 2 or 3 minutes. Same thing with phone support, there is no waiting time and their staff all speak English, plus give instructions that are clear and to the point. There's no need to explain and re explain yourself 10 times with Hostmonster support. This means that if you need help running your website the right way, someone will be there to assist you at all times. Their service is quite easy to use and the control panel is actually quite straightforward and only takes a few minutes to figure out how to use. There's really no more than needs to be said than that. Their service is the best and Hostmonster is definitely a cut above all the rest which make fun promises but actually give no results to webmasters when they need them the most.

Our business has several domains now hosted with Hostmonster but we're thinking of changing this and moving some or all of our sites onto another hosting partner. During the daytime, our sites will either be loading very slow and sometimes even not at all. As I'm writing this, I'm having trouble viewing my site. I need to refresh the page about 10 times before I can finally get it to load as it should. I can't even connect to the control panel as it looks like it's timing out all of the time. There's nothing wrong with my local internet connection as all other websites I now visit are loading correctly and I'm able to get into my accounts at some of the other hosts that we use right now. In the process of finding another suitable host where we can move over the sites that are with Hostmonster. Wouldn't use this company again, not until they fix their issues at least.

HostMonster is way better than the competition. When I first went to their site, I saw that they looked a lot more professional that the cheap hosting companies you can find all over the place. They are a bit more pricy than my previous host, GoDaddy, but on the other end, the service you get from them will be absolutely impeccable. Their customer service, reliability and the speed of their connection is way better than what I got with GoDaddy and with my previous hosts like 1 &1 Hosting. I'm very pleased with what I got here and I fully recommend their services to every person that comes to me and asks me for my opinion about a web host. HostMonster is truly the best in my book!!

Sure, Host Monster has a tech support department that answers any inquiry very fast, so they get good marks for the speed of their support. But when it actually comes down to solving a problem, this would be zero... The longer you stay with them, the more problems you get as I noticed. My websites were constantly getting time outs, or down right errors saying that the page could not be displayed. Honestly, I wouldn't even recommend this host if they were completely free. Their reliability is not up to par for a paid host and I've had better reliability from some free hosts in the past. I'm out of there and now looking for a better company to do business with. Host Monster is definitely not up to the task for me and I'm sure that my case is not an isolated one.

As a cheap web host, Fat Cow does really well in my book. I was a bit hesitant to sign up with them as the company didn't seem quite too “serious” by their advertising and their rates were much lower than the competitors. I paid $3.95 per month for a 1 year plan. After uploading my 2 sites with them and setting everything up I was quite impressed by them. The upload speed seemed to be a bit lower than what I was used to with some other companies before them, but it was still quite acceptable. What matters most is the download speed and that was simply great. Reliability was close to 100%. Only once when testing out did I get a connection time out. The rest of the time the website worked really great both for me and for my site visitors. So if any of you are looking to get affordable great quality hosting FatCow would be my top recommendation.

This host has some very good points but I think they're not for every body. While they have an excellent introductory price and claim that everything is unlimited you really need to look at what you'll be getting and whether it will be right for your usage type. Their service is quite stable in a way as there's very little down time but it still can happen. But if you have several sites that use databases at the same time you may notice that things will get slow during times of high traffic. While FatCow says in their promotional materials that everything will be unlimited with them you should really take that with a grain of salt. Database websites like Joomla and Drupal will use a good amount of their resources on the server so the speed will not be too optimal if you have many users at the site during the same time. They have a satisfaction guarantee if things don't work out by you need to read the fine print, there's a fee of $30 or something if you cancel before you term is over. I can say that for the price specified, the service quality is good, but don't expect big business class hosting for $3.50 per month however.

Fatcow provided me a great option to put together my website quickly. I had access to their service from the very beginning and there was no waiting for the account to be activated. They have all of the latest software in their control panel like for Joomla or WordPress hosting. This is better than my old host, which always had tools that were out of date by a few months. If you have a small business and want big results from your host then FatCow is one of the companies I would recommend entirely. While there are many web hosts that offer similar results, I believe that FatCow is one of the less expensive ones out there. Even if you only sign up for a year with them, you will pay less than $4 per months which is excellent in my opinion. They have a friendly and positive attitude to their customers which is also something that's much needed in the hosting industry tod
