In case you didn’t know it there is really no such animal called unlimited bandwidth or unlimited storage. It doesn’t exist in the world of best hosting. But aside from that they do have good pricing, and they aren’t all that bad. However, if you However, if you have a disk failure at 1 in the morning and all you websites are down you may get through to support in 2 minutes but they won’t have your backups. At least that was my experience. I know, I know, we’re responsible for our own backups, but that kinda sucks.     I have never had a problem with Hostmonster, and I’ve used them since I got into affiliate marketing three years ago. They have always been quick to respond to any of my questions with Cron jobs or PHP scripts, whatever. And my traffic flows, no downtime, that I’m aware of, I would definitely recommend them. Everything is there to help me and the tech support has been great when I’ve had to use it. Rarely do my sites go down and if they do it’s only for a few minutes and I think that’s pretty normal for most hosting companies. I’d recommend Hostmonster in an instant for all hosting needs.

    Don’t use Hostmonster – they’ve been a nightmare for me. I’m not a tech geek by any stretch of the imagination, but these guys just don’t get it! I’ve been with them for close to four months and it just keeps getting worse. The servers are down constantly anywhere from 5 minutes to close to three hours. Unacceptable when you’re trying to run a business. They’re great when you get them on the phone – friendly and all – but they don’t fix the problems. If you want my advice – go somewhere else.

    I have 4 sites for my business and run clients sites through them. I’ve been with HostMonster for about four years now. I do have some downtime – maybe 4 minutes for about once a month – but it’s sporadic and is usually after business hours so not a huge concern. They provide great tools and features for you to access for a good price. Tech support has been great whenever I’ve needed to use. They know what they’re talking about and are very courteous. I’d recommend them to use as a hosting company – they’ve been pretty good for my needs.

    We’ve used HM for over 5 years. They’ve been going downhill slowly. Our website goes down at least once a day for anywhere from 10-15 minutes. Too long when you’re in business. Apparently they’re updating the system – but there’s no proper planning as they do so at peak traffic times. Calling customer service has not been of much help either – no attempt to resolve the issue. I cannot give HostMonster a good review – I’d go elsewhere as we will be shortly.

    If you’re thinking about using Hostmonster – don’t bother. We’ve been with them for about six months now. Two or three times a week their servers go down – anywhere between 5 minutes and a few hours at a time – and most often during the morning – weird. We’ve gone on the phone, used live chat and sent emails – they always respond – but not with an answer to the problem! We’ll moving to another provider soon. They’re just too unreliable.

    I’ve been hosting several sites with Hostmonster (mine and my clients) for just over 2 years and I’ve had no problems with their service. Once in a while a site may go down for a little while – but no major time spans. I love HMs control panel and their cart/checkout screen is not full of ads and cross sells like the other hosts out there. The tech support has been really good when I’ve needed it – and I haven’t had to use it too much. I really like Hostmonster and recommend them as a webhost.

    It’s pretty easy to customize your site as the control panel has a variety of tools and utilities – no python support though. I was happy for the first year but then when it came time to renew I got slapped with an auto renew rate that was way more than I expected. For your first year of hosting you get your domain for free – but then the rate jumps to $170 for the renewal term. Sneaky – very sneaky. Not happy and I’m not renewing.

    I have built my business to a point where I have a fair size number of clients. I host several sites for my clients as well as my own sites so I have to be able to rely on a hosting company and know that they will always be available. I’ve found that with HostMonster. It doesn’t matter when I call – whether early morning, late at night or really early morning – tech support are always available and extremely helpful and friendly.     I would rate this webhost as “good”, but not more. They do provide acceptable service for the cheap price that you pay, so it seems that you shouldn’t expect to have things go as good as with the more expensive hosts out there. However, if you are just starting out a small business or simply need a place where you can host a small site that doesn’t get many visitors, it is a decent place to start. Regarding the uptime, I have only had a few minor issues in 1 year, but each time the site was down for more than 2 or 3 hours during the day.

    Hostmonster is really great in my opinion. I love the fact that their customer service team is very quick to respond to you if you have any questions. They also actually take the time to read the message that you sent them, rather than just firing off a generic response that doesn’t even answer my question. I have had that with other hosts and obviously this got me really frustrated. No problems whatsoever with Hostmonster, just great hosting all around.     Hostmonster could be good if you only host a relatively small web site. However, they advertise the fact that they are unlimited while in reality they are not. There is a 50 000 file limit and if you go over it your hosting account could be suspended without notice. Bear in mind that even an empty html file counts as one file. If you have a site with a lot of content, this could be an issue for you. Might be a good web host for some, but I had to switch because of this issue.

    The hosting is good, nothing to say there. But I did have one problem with Hostmonster. For some reason I was either not getting my email or it was arriving several hours late. Spoke with support a couple times before this was fixed. Eventually it was repaired but this was quite inconvenient for me. I am still using them, but I really hope that they make sure their email system is reliable at all times.

    I’ve used Hostmonster since 2007 and have received excellent service from this company. I have 4 websites hosted with them. At the beginning when I started with them, I have had nothing but problems by using a “cheap” host. I switched over to Hostmonster because of their 24/7 technical support. I rarely need to contact them, but when I do they always are friendly and helpful. Definitely something to look for when you select a web host. They provide excellent service and I am indeed happy with it.

    The expression “you get what you pay for” really holds true at Hostmonster. While they advertise the fact that they offer unlimited storage and bandwidth, this is actually not the case and they reserve the right to give you the boot at any time if they think that your site is using too much resources. In terms of money, sure the prices are not that expensive. But I think they are good only if you are hosting a very small site. Otherwise, they will tell you that you are using too much and then you will have to either change hosts or get a dedicated server. Support is not really useful or friendly either.

    With Hostmonster, I have 2 blogs hosted and everything has been a breeze so far. Setting up the account and site was very easy and the instructions that are provided in the help section are very useful to make sure that you are doing everything right. There are no problems with the site going down or anything like that. I cannot say anything about their support because I did not have to call them for anything. But I truly think that Hostmonster is an excellent web host if you are hosting a blog for your business like me.

    Worst servers ever. My sites were down several times a day the last 6 month. I switched to another hoster. Pay a little bit more but sites have never been off again. Can’t recommend hostmonster.com!

    According to me, Hostmonster is not so good thus far. Have had problems getting my website to load properly, they said it was a problem with the nameservers and that it will take a few hours to fix. Unfortunately, it took them more than a day to accomplish this. After that, I had problems receiving my email for the first few days. I really hope that this was just a temporary problem or something and that it is not a sign of how things are with Hostmonster. I hope they will improve in the future, as I do not want to be out there looking for a better host again.

    Not very happy with Hostmonster here. Even though they say that their service is completely unlimited, there are certain things which are not. For example, you can only have 1000 mySQL tables on your account. Now if you have a simple HTML website, this will not be a problem. But if you run something like Drupal and use many different modules, you may run into problems with this limitations sooner of later. Another thing that I didn’t like about this host is the fact that they have removed their backup tool which makes it easy for me to download backup copies of certain databases and content on my server. While I understand completely that shared hosting is not the best thing if you want to run a large website, I do believe that Hostmonster should be doing a better job.

Also their hosting plans are unlimited so that way you don’t really have to worry about running out of space or anything liek that. To me, everything is great with this company and I am glad that I chose them, because they meet my web hosting needs very well.

    I have just began my first e-commerce site and found Hostmonster’s hosting solution to be very good for my requirements. I have used their website creator to build some elements of my site and it has worked very well every time. Making edits afterwards is also very easy with their software. Hostmonster also provided a lot of useful web templates for the content of my site as well as the whole e-commerce system, like the checkout, etc. If you are new to building websites, it may take you a while to navigate your way around the tools offered, but once you get to use them you will be quite happy to have chosen this company over any other web host.     I can say that Host Monster is good overall. I have had no issue with the site ever going down. However, had problems backing up my site the backup tool kept timing out when I was trying to access it. Contacted support and it took 3 days to fix it completely. According to me the reliability of this feature should be improved a bit, as this issue has happened 2 times in the past year. Otherwise everything was perfect here.

    Hostmonster used to be the best. Recently, I have had several problems with their service. It seems they aren’t capable of handling websites that incorporate forums and blogs because they are easily hacked into. After all of my 30+ websites were shut down three times in the past two months I’m looking for a different service provider. In a chat with technical service at hostmonster, I was told that they cannot be our service provider. No further explanation. Now I see why they aren’t the best anymore. Use FatCow!

    Overall, my experience at Hostmonster has been good so far. I host 2 forums with this provider and their hosting plans truly are unlimited as I have never had them complain about using too much bandwidth or anything like this, which has happened to me on other web hosting companies.     Really disappointing. My site has been down for more than 7 hours and they say it is because they are doing some “work” which affected certain servers. Really? They couldn’t simply plan for this beforehand and try to ensure that it wouldn’t affect any of the sites of their customers? I am honestly disappointed by this hosting outfit. Once I get access to my site again, I will copy all of the files and look to move to a better host. This is not the first time that this has happened here and I am really tired of having my site go down for hours on end.

    I have been a hostmonster customer for more than 3 years right now. I run 2 different business websites as well as plenty of sites for various clients that are related to them. I would definitely consider this host to be one of the most reliable hosting companies that you can find. After reading some Hostmonster reviews, I have decided to sign up with them. However now our website will always go down at least daily for 10 minutes. Sure, if they are doing upgrades or maintenance, this is normal. However, it should not be something that happens daily and I am sure they have a way to do these kinds of things at periods where traffic is low for your site. Their support is quite responsive, however in my opinion they seem like they don’t really care. But at least they answer you and don’ try to blame the problems that happen on you, they just say they are aware of them and that it should be abck up in a few minute.

    I use Hostmonster for more than a year now and the service is A+++++. The prices are great but what really makes a difference is their support. They are very helpful and have helped me add a second domain to my account when their control panel was having problems that day. The good thing about Hostmonster is that they have plenty of applications and tools in their control panel which contains everything that you may need. The only problems I have experienced is that there sometimes is a delay of several minutes, sometimes more than 10 minutes to receive some email. BUt the main part which is the web hosting works excellent at all times, there’s really nothing to complain about there.

    Hostmonster is the best web hosting there is online. Just like many other web hosts this company has grown a lot in the past couple of years. However, when they expanded their services, I am glad to see that they were able to keep their quality that they have offered from the very beginning. In over 3 years of using them I have not had one problem and I have never had to speak with their technical support at all. This shows just what a great web host they are. I have several different web sites currently hosting with this company and everything is working 100% great. I am so happy to have come up on a web hosting company that does everything right for a change. Hostmonster is excellent all the way and is recommended.

    The experience that I have had with HostMonster is not a good one so far. I was looking at HostMonster reviews and have found that they support Drupal. I have tried to install it on my hosting account but I have constantly been getting error messages that it is unable to connect to the database. Now I didn’t want to bother their support at the time, so I tried scrapping everything and re installing it all over. Still didn’t work. I tried waiting a day, maybe there was a temporary issue with their servers. I tried the installation again but it was still giving the same problem. I have contacted their support and have received a response within a few hours. They simply said that they cannot help you with installing third party scripts and applications. I am now trying to get someone from a web hosting forum to help me with the installation of Drupal, as it seems that their customer service is no help at all. If it still doesn’t work, I will simply go ahead and cancel and then go with a web hosting business that has servers which work properly and that actually wants to help its customers and keep them. While the prices may be good and it might be a place if you are simply putting up some HTML web pages without a CMS like Drupal, I do not recommend HostMonster because of what has happened to me. Maybe things will start working well and I am willing to give them a chance as it has only been 3 days so far, but if not I will be leaving and changing to a different web host.

    I have used Hostmonster webhosting for more than a year. Just when I signed up there were no problems at all, the customer service I received has been excellent each and every time. But the issue is that things rapidly started going downhill from there. All of the reps I spoke with afterwards seemed to be unhelpful and not interested in helping me at all. It looked like Hostmonster had decided to hire a bunch of kids to do their tech support and customer service in order to cut down on costs. Calling them has become a roll the dice type of experience. You might occasionally get someone that is competent and helpful, but you probably will not. Last month, my site has gotten hacked and the first time I called support they seemed to not care about this at all and they said that it was my responsibility as a customer to find out what caused the security problem and that I should fix it myself. I had to call another time for them to restore the website from the backup. This has shown that they really do not even care about the security of their own servers as they never were able to tell me what may have caused this breach and they all sounded like this just wasn’t important. Sure, the webhosting packages that are offered by Hostmonster may look attractive in price, but with such poor support as I was given way too many times, I really do not want to use their company. In fact, I am now looking for a better webhosting provider where I can move my site right away. I would really not recommend anyone deals with Hostmonster.

    I have had problems with hostmonster right from the beginning. The performance was the biggest issue and they never tried to solve it. The technical support is a joke as well as the billing team. Hostmonster might be all right for a small private webpage without need for speed but if you have a forum or a shop avoid this company with any cost

    For my business I host a few different websites with Hostmonster, some of them that I have had for more than 2 years and there was never a problem. Sure, it might happen once in a while that the sites might go down for a few minutes or maybe 30 – 40 minutes, but this is something that will happen in any web host. This is something that you will have to learn to live with when you are using inexpensive shared hosting for your website. If you really require mission critical 24/7 99.999999999999% uptime, then be prepared to fork over several thousands of dollars for colocation hosting in a data center that is equipped for that purpose. So I sometimes find it quite funny to read those that say: oh no!! my website was down for 30 minutes in a whole month! what a disasterrrrr!! really funny, guys.

    The other good thing and that I like about Hostmonster is the overall design of their hosting control panel. Everything is there in the right place and is very easy to find. All the features are real features that work, unlike certain web host where 75% are nothing more than an advertisement which will link to a page telling you to buy more stuff. This is something that I hate a lot and if you use a host like GoDaddy I’m sure that you understand what I am talking about.

    I have needed the tech support only once and I got an answer within a few minutes to my mail. Granted, this was during business hours, but I am sure they have people available 24/7 like they should to answer their questions. One of the reasons that I did not need tech support is that all the information is found in their help manuals, so I don’t really like to bother tech support with questions that can be answered myself if I just read a few lines in their guide. And yet some people never seem to do so and then complain that the tech support guy was impatient with them. Of course, if you ask something like How me uploadz files please?? to tech support while the info is right there in front of you, do not be surprised if the responses that you receive are not to friendly, cause quite frankly I wouldn’t be patient with you either.

    Based on my experiences with this host and comparing it with a few other hosting companies I can say that I honestly recommend Hostmonster.

    This web host has definitely been a nightmare to use. I seriously don’t recommend using HostMonster. Even if you have to pay more somewhere else, you should really use another hosting company and not them. I have spoken to their tech support about a serious problem that I have had and the rep simply did not care and did not even want to be helpful one bit. One day, I wasn’t able to access my website. When I called their support they told me that the password has been changed, which is something that I didn’t do at all. Finally, they determined that my site has been hacked and that they can send me a link to change the password. Now the thing is, I wasn’t able to access my account at all, so even if they would be able to send me this link I wouldn’t be able to get it. However, this seemed to be too complicated for them to handle. No one there really was taking the issue seriously, so my only choice that I had at this point was quite simply to get up and leave to a different host. One funny thing that happened is that a few days after we had moved the site to a different web host, now we could access the account, sort of like magic. In all cases, I am glad that I canceled with HostMonster and went somewhere else. They have shown that they are not a serious web host and because of that they really do not deserve to have my business. I recommend anyone who is looking for a serious web hosting company to stay away from these clowns. This will just avoid you plenty of trouble in the long run, because if you want some kind of help, you will not get it here.

    I have been going on with Hostmonster for 3 years and have received nothing but perfect hosting for my needs. In the past 10 years I have used the services of Godaddy, Yahoo Small Business hosting, Blue Host, 1 and 1 as well as some many other smaller hosts that I don’t remember the name and which are probably gone right know. The best feature that Hostmonster offers to customers is their ability to provide excellent support. I really don’t base this on just one or two phone calls but really on my overall experience with them for the past three years. As I am hosting my own sites and also my clients sites I needed hosting that was always going to be reliable and that always worked as well as the company advertises. Many of the other webhosts that I have used in the past decade or so were very good at putting up flashy advertisements all over the net and then making huge promises, but the majority of them failed to deliver and some of the hosts screwed up rather royally. But with Hostmonster I really don’t have anything to worry about. I am really thankful as a website developer that there is a great hosting company which will be there to provide excellent service for me. Thanks Hostmonster!

    When you sign up with Hostmonster they say that everything is unlimited. I have even confirmed this with their customer service before I signed up and he said that there are no limitations on using their hosting. However it seems that when they start running low on resources, they look at who is using their hosting accounts the most and simply shut down their website. When you ask them what the problem is they simply say to go see the terms of service. In the meantime your website is completely down and replaced by an advertisement for Hostmonster. They refused to reactivate my account so I completely transferred my domains somewhere else and repuploaded my site manually. I was back up within a few hours but this experience will make it quite clear that I will never be using the services of a company such as Hostmonster again.

    I like using Hostmonster for my website. For the price that you are paying with them, I believe that they are at least giving you a fair amount of service. There have been a few occasions that my site has gone down during the day. Their support said that it was because they needed to take some of their computer off line to repair things. Maybe they should have done it at another time. But this is not something terrible, the outage only lasted about an hour each time. The pages are quite quick to load which is a welcome surprise from the old host that I was using. It seems like their servers are not always overloaded with traffic which shows they can run things well without always messing things up.

    It is for around 4 years that I am using Hostmonster and it was very rare for me to have any kind of problem. Every time there was something, I either called them or used the live chat and all was fixed right away. On my account, I have multiple domains, as well as sites that run on Joomla hosting and phpBB forums without any problem at all. The software they use is always updated to the latest version to prevent any problems with security or functionality. The Cpanel they have is very functional and makes your hosting something easy to use. Without hesitation, I recommend Hostmonster to any person that is looking to find a good web host. This is all based on my experience for the past 4 years and everything about this host has been positive for me.

    I am not sure about what is going on with all the negativity in some Hostmonster reviews lately. I have used Hostmonster for a period of time, close to two years and I really LOVED this company. The hosting packages are very good and even though the $5.95 a month is more than what others charge, at least with their pricing policies they are honest. You should be careful with some web hosts that claim to give you a very unrealistic price like $2.99 a month for unlimited hosting. Probably the hosting will simply suck, or this is just a bait and switch method, where for the first year they charge you that price, but then they will triple the price without letting you know when it is time to renew your account. The only problems I have had with their hosting were not really due to their hosting actually, but rather due to my incompetence in getting some things up on my site at the beginning when I was not as experienced as I am now. Even that time they got me going again right away, even if the problem is my fault. The only reason that I have left the company is because I no longer operate the online business that needed hosting. But I might start some other online ventures in the next year and I will not hesitate to go back with Hostmonster. They have given me an excellent experience and I am very happy for that.

    All has been going good for me at Hostmonster so far. I have had their service for 1 year and I am very satisfied. The staff was especially helpful in getting me to set up my website. I was having some trouble uploading all the files and they were very helpful in making sure that my site was operating right away. Their team really made the effort to help me out and it really did show they were doing it because they were genuinely interested in helping me. The only period where my site was down was one day where it went down for a few hours. This slightly disappointed me but it only happened one time so I can understand that. They are really a reliable host since this minor problem only happened at one time and has never happened again since. Their service is great but I believe that their staff really deserves some recognition for the quality work that they put in when it came to helping me.

    I’m currently hosting several sites with Hostmonster and have been with them for more than two years. During this time period I have not had one single problem. Once in a while the sites were down or slow to load for a few minutes at a time however this is something that will happen with any host. I never saw my sites going down for more than 30 minutes at a time. The user interface is excellent and contains all I need. The options are well placed and the e-commerce tools work great, without being hammered with advertisements for third party services like you would find on other web hosting companies. Everything combined makes Hostmonster a great choice of web host for me and I recommend it to you as well.

    I don’t have anything too specific to say about Hostmonster, just that for me the experience has been great. I don’t really go around comparing web hosts to measure details such as how fast the site load or how many minutes you have to wait on hold to speak with them. Just for me, as a reasonable person, every single thing went great. I uploaded my site, set up my emails and all was working well. There was not a single thing that I was dissatisfied with. While my site is quite simple and doesn’t have any advanced features like e commerce stuff or anything like that, I am sure that Hostmonster is also good for those who use it for a bigger business. Since there is never a problem I will stick with this hosting company as they have met my needs well. After all this is the most important part when you are looking for hosting: finding a company that will provide you the services that YOU want to have.

    I am honestly disappointed with hostmonster. I purchased their service to host two of my domains and the problems have started just a few days after I signed up. Now this wasn’t me complaining about the fact that my site takes 7 milliseconds longer to load on Fridays or me completely screwing up a WordPress install and then blaming the host, but actual and real performance problems that are on THEIR end and not mine. What made things worse is that their technical support might as well be staffed by a group of circus clowns, because the whole thing looks like a bad low budget comedy show. They never confront any of the issues that you bring to their attention and either make excuses or pretend that they don’t exist. Sites were going down for hours at a time and email was working about half of the time. Still, they didn’t seem to care. I have moved all of my sites over to a small provider based in my city and have noticed a huge difference. Now I am fighting with their customer service to get a refund, even if they have a “guarantee” as they call it. I would stay well away from hostmonster if I was you. While maybe you might now have the same problems that I did, why even take the chance with such a bad quality host?

    Buyer beware when it comes to dealing with Hostmonster. I have been with them for a few months. The price is good and all the features that you may want are included, even plenty of them that I do not use. After a few months of being with them – same site, same scripts, same amount of traffic – they suddenly decide that the scripts that I am running on my site are having a negative effect on the performance of their servers and they suspended my account. Now they did not call me or send me email before doing this at all. When I spoke to them they claim they had sent me email before to notify me and that I didn’t answer, but this is completely false as I check my email every day, including the spam folder and there was simply nothing there. I really recommend that you be careful if you plan on using Hostmonster. It might be the right kind of hosting for you, but if you are running a web store and have any kind of scripts or software running on it, then don’t be surprised if you get your hosting shut down one day without any notice from them. They have done it to me, so they will probably do it to you as well.

    I use HostMonster to host 10 different websites both for myself and for clients. For me the number one concern is reliability. If one of my own sites goes down, sure it will suck for me but I can manage. However if the web site of a client is down then they will be calling me to ask WTF is going on and why their site is non functional. The tech support that HostMonster provides its users is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so no matter if it is 2 PM or 2 AM when you call them they will be available to fix any issues that you are experiencing quickly. I have had trouble setting up SSL on a site used by my client for a web shop and their tech support helped me get everything up and running smoothly. I find this hosting company to be very impressive and I definitely recommend their service in case anyone asks me for a good web host. For that price, their service and support are really the best and I don’t think you will find better anywhere else, at least not for what you would be paying at HostMonster.

    I am by no means a professional in networking and servers but what I can tell is that my site at Hostmonster has been going down way too much as of lately. This is basically the reason as to why I am now writing this Hostmonster review. During the first two months this was not happening. But now there is downtime almost all the time. From my own use of the site, it goes down at least two hours every month. Note that this is from what I see and I usually check my site during business hours in the day so there really is no telling how much the site is down otherwise. I might have to set up some kind of monitoring tool that would give me an answer to that it seems. This kind of downtime is not supposed to be happening with a good web host. I really don’t see why they are in the top ten web hosting companies on this site as there is nothing top ten about them. I have asked their support if it is possible to migrate my site to another server and they have said that they will consider my request and get back to me in a few days. It has been around 3 weeks and there is nothing from them. With all that is happening to me they could fix the server that is faulty, move my site to another server, or simply I will cancel their service and move over to another provider. I am now in the process of gathering up proof that I will need to get my money back because I know they will try to pick a fight and claim there was nothing wrong.

    Hostmonster gives good hosting overall but they do not seem to support Python web hosting. So if Python hosting is important to you, it would be much better if you try somewhere else. Otherwise for regular, general hosting they are quite good. All the other utilities and tools in the control panel are very useful and of great quality. The tech support is good. What bothered me is that they seem to be taking example after GoDaddy and are now beginning to put ads everywhere. You will find ads on error pages ads on control panel, etc. Not a major issue but since I already bought their hosting, I don’t feel the usefulness in seeing their self promotion plastered all over the place.

    Well the only good thing about Hostmonster is their control panel. All the features are well placed and they work when you need them. But the main problem that I am having is with their claims of reliability. They may say that they have 99.9% uptime but this is simply not true in practice. Sure it is a nice thing to claim for them, but in reality the uptime would be more of 85% to 90% at the most. I have tested this by refershing my website at random times during the day. Most of the time it would work, but there was always 1 time in about 5 tries that the site either took forever to load completely or simply would give you an error message. If this is something that happened only once in a blue moon I wouldn’t be complaining about it in this Hostmonster review. But this is something that kept going on and on every single day that I have tried. Tech support was useless in fixing the problem. While they certainly were friendly and fast they told me every single time that it must be a problem with MY internet connection, because THEY would certainly not be having a problem with their. Now this is a lie. If something was wrong with my internet, then how come I was able to open any other site: Google, Hotmail, etc with no problems but it was just my site that was giving me errors and connection problems? But even when they are faced with reality, the people at Hostmonster will never admit that there is something wrong with their servers or connection – it always has to be the fault of the user and not theirs. I am now using a hosting company in my country Italy where I pay $18 a month to get 2GB of space and 50 GB per month of bandwidth. Sure, it is much more expensive than Hostmonster but at least I don’t have any problems with my site not being accessible. My recommendation is to stay away from cheap hosting companies like Hostmonster. They will simply give you too much trouble with reliability. Remember every minute that your site is down is also a time where you are losing important visitors. If your site visitors are important to you, then simply stay as far away from Hostmonster as possible.

    In my 5 years in the web design industry I have used a lot of web hosting companies. I can attest to Hostmonster’s reliability and excellent customer support that they make available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. By the way, their technical support is American and not outsourced to India like the competitors seem to want to do to keep their costs low. Nothing against Indian people, but when I have a problem with something as important as my business website or a site that I am hosting for a client of mine, I want someone who speaks perfect English and can actually understand what I mean, not simply giving me a canned response as if I was talking to a robot reading off a script. If you are serious about your hosting then I would recommend you go with Hostmonster.

    I used to host several sites at Hostmonster. I got on board with them because of a cheap price and good features. Basically at the beginning they were offering everything that you can ask for from an inexpensive host. After running the same site and email campaign for over 1 year, they finally decided to suspend my entire account and all websites in it because “I was sending too many emails.” When I contacted their tech support they basically said that it looked like I was spamming. The problem with that assertion is that I have been sending the same emails to the same list for over one year and they didn’t seem to have a problem with that. Then they turned around and told me that my usage of their service was “not acceptable”. I needed to find another hosting company after that. I now have a good cloud hosting server. It costs about $16 a month, which is more than a shared account, but at least here they don’t have any problem with my site. I basically gave up on using shared hosting services after this. Hostmonster may not be a bad host if you just do light usage. But if you are trying to run a business, shared hosting is basically a big ZERO. Get yourself a dedicated server it will avoid you all the headaches. I just wish I would have researched this before I started with them.

This company actually helped me isntall my site and made sure that it would work right from the very beginning. The previous web host that I was with did not care too much about this and said that installing my site was my own responsibility. Hostmonster really showd me that some hosting companies can provide excellent customer support for their clients. Because of this I am glad that I made the choice to go with them. After creating the site successfully I never had to use their tech support again as everything was going smoothly. Downtime was very minimal and there were no other problems with the host.

    Unfortunately I just have had too much down time on my Hostmonster service. I really can’t deal with such junk as I am trying to run a business from my site. The site was going down anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes each day. Now after speaking to support 4 times about this they have finally put in a request where my site would be migreated to a better server (according to them). I just want to see if this will really be the case or if it simply was nothing but talk from them. For now I really cannot recommend this company. The performance is simply not there, way too much down time. This is quite unfortunate because their interface is good and the features offered for the price are interesting. But I just cannot use hosting which is down so often.

    I’ve had a really bad experience with his hosting provider. Yes, at the beginning Hostmonster seemed to be a good company to deal with. Everything was reliable and the few times that I have had to contact their support they were very fast to deal with any problems I had. Then I started getting reliability issues. This was not anything too serious actually the site was going down maybe 5 – 10 minutes per day. It was quite annoying but it wasn’t so bad. Then my site was hacked. When I contacted the Hostmonster support they informed me that the security of my site was my own responsibility and that I should figure out what the problem was myself. After some coaxing they finally agreed to take a look at my site and undo the damage that was caused by the hacking. But by doing that, they left some parts of my site completely non functional. I had to spend over 10 hours figuring out what they messed up and then repairing it. It seems that they made some changes to their tech support team as well. At first, their support people have always seemed to be caring and eager to help. But now they have this ‘I don’t care about you’ attitude that is prevalant in shitty web hosts. The only good part to this is that my term with Hostmonster is coming to an end relatively soon. Now I have the time to gather some information and make a better decision with regards to my next web host. Hostmonster is a mess right now. I don’t know what happened to them or what caused this but in my mind they went from being a good web host to being one that I would never recommend and instead would advise people to stay as far away from as they can.

    The hosting provided by Hostmonster is quite good, although there are certain limitations you need to be aware of. You cannot run more than 25 processes at the same time on your site. This will not affect most customers, however if you have some scripts running on your site or if you have multiple websites then this might be a problem. But other than that the going was really good here. Their tech support is excellent and I was glad to hear that every time I spoke with them I could actually speak to a human being that speaks English. The control panel and features are very good as well.

    Since I have hosted a few business websites as well as sold certain products online for the last 10 years or so, this has allowed me to see the good and bad of web hosting. I can confirm that the Hostmonster service is one of the most reliable in terms of uptime. There has never been times that my site was completely down and only a few occasions where it was responding a bit slowly. The customer support is 24/7 and is based in America. What also makes Hostmonster great is the way they handle domains. They have a very good domain manager interface which will be useful if you have more than one domain in your account. They charge just $10 for a domain name, which is pretty much the standard rate, but I have seen other web hosting companies try to make profit on selling domains by selling them for $15 to $25 for a .com domain.     I really don’t know if this is deliberate or not, but Hostmonster seems to give you good service for the first few months and then things start going wrong. I am not the only one they did this to. I have 2 other friends who are using Hostmonster as well and they had the same thing happen to them. My problem with Hostmonster was actually quite serious. After close to one year of using them, my site got hacked. And by that, it was completely hacked and most of the content on the server has been messed up. Since I say that they are supposed to be doing backups, I contacted their support to see what they could do for me. There, they totally dropped the ball. The first time I was speaking on their live chat with them, they suddenly disconnected for no reason. I had to wait again and re explain my issue to the next support guy as their first rep has apparently done nothing, even though I quite clearly explained to him what my problem was and what I asked from them. They said they would look for the backups and get back to me within 1 day. This wasn’t done and I had to contact them again. At this point, I was thinking as to whether it would have been better to simply re upload everything on my own rather than wait for them to come up with the backups to restore my site. They finally did this after nearly 4 days. However then they said that they would only activate my site again if I could prove that there was no security threat anymore. After much back and forth I was able to get my site completely back up nearly 5 days since it went down for the first time. Obviously this is quite bad. I really do not recommend Hostmonster at all. Even though their prices could look very cheap with comparison to some other hosts, the trouble that you will quite likely get will very simply not be worth it at all.

    Service at Hostmonster is good in terms of price compared to what you are getting from them. However you should read the fine print and understand what the limitationsof their service actually are, even if they say on their sitr that all the services are unlimited. You can only have a maximum of one thousand mySQL database tables. So as you see this is not really unlimited. If you are planning to host a very big site then this might not be the best hosting choice for you. But if your site is not too intensive, then the value that Hostmonster gives could be quite worth it. The reliability of their service is good. I only noticed a few instances of down time and these were very limited, lasting only a few minutes each time. So no major reliability problems. Their support is also good. Wait time is not the best (I waited about 10 minutes each time) but at least they give you their full attention when you are speaking with them and will actually answer the question that you are asking instead of giving some stupid off topic response. So I recommend using Hostmonster if you have just a small site you need to make available. But if you will be using WordPress hosting with several blogs, the Hostmonster service is not really for you as it would go over the limitations that they have for their shared hosting services.

    I am leaving Hostmonster after being with them for two years. There are many things with their service that I find completely inadequate and quite simply put: disappointing. The thing is that they do not make the limitations of their hosting service known to you until after you have signed up and paid. They really suck for Joomla hosting. The number of databases and running processes that they allow on your account is simply too low. This is barely high enough to be hosting even one Joomla site, so when they claim you can host unlimited sites, this is completely BS as this will only work if you do not use any kind of CMS on the sites. I only had one Joomla blog hosted on them that was receiving maybe a hundred visitors a day. They then started sending me emails that I would need to “reduce the amount of resources” that is uses. This is what made me want to leave. I didn’t want them deciding to take down my site one day for no reason. This is what made me want to change web hosts and use another company instead. Hostmonster is really inadequate. Their only redeeming quality is their cheap price, but what good would be cheap price if they can’t provide you with the decent service that you deserve? It is because of such things that I do not recommend Hostmonster to anyone. They are simply too poor of a hosting service for me and I don’t want anyone to go through the problems that I was having.

    I was with Hostmonster for over 1 year right now and I can gladly say that it was an excellent experience for me. The best part of hosting my website here is that all of the features work as they promised. There has never been no down time on my website. Never noticed my site going down for any period of time at all. This is really great from a web host, as many companies that I have used in the past had way too much reliability problems. The price that they charge is very cheap and so is affordable to anyone. If you are looking for an excellent web hosting service, then I definitely recommend going with Hostmonster. They are the best web hosting service out there.

    I had two websites hosted with Hostmonster and I have had issues right from the start. Even though I was not getting excessive amounts of traffic or using any software that would take up too many resources, there were constant problems with the site staying up. Some days, it would go down for an hour or more. It also seemed that they had some issues with their DNS, as for some strange reason my site would sometimes give an error message just like the domain did not exist. Tech support did very little to even try to address these problems. Now it is certainly true that Hostmonster charges a very cheap price, but I want reliable and good service too. I obviously don’t recommend Hostmonster. They may be cheap but there are various different web hosts that are cheap too and are actually capable of providing a decent service level, something that is completely absent at Hostmonster.

    In my opinion Hostmonster is a good hosting company. Good features and unlimited hosting plans make them a really attractive option if you want a web hosting provider which gives you excellent services at a low price. The customer servicde was very good when I contacted them with a few questions before signing up. This company is quite simply a great web host. Everything in the packages that they offer works great and myself I have never had to face any difficulties using their service.

    Sales staff was great as was the tech dept. Customer service was the worst I had ever dealt with. I would never recommend Hostmonster or Bluehost (they are the same company). I may be being a little unfair to judge Bluehost based on Hostmonsters lack of quality customer service but there are way to many quality hosts to worry about taking the chance. When customer service response is “so what” it’s time to move on.

    I would say that the hosting here at HostMonster is quite inexpensive and packed with the right features. Sure enough, these are the good things about HostMonster. But there are also a few things that I didn’t really like. I have been hosting a quite simple website here for the past year. At least twice a month, I would get an issue with my hosting. The site would be down, sometimes for up to 1 hour at a time. When I contact HostMonster, their response in all cases is a form email that says that their technicians are investigating the issue right now and that the situation will be dealt with promptly. So if you absolutely need a service that will be reliable at all times, this may not be the best place for you to go with. I am really hoping that Hostmonster will deal with these reliability problems once and for all. I have 10 months left in my term and if this isn’t fixed, I might leave sooner, I don’t have too much to loose anymore right now. So overall this Hosting has a good price and also pretty good features, but the reliability is something they need to work on. It is not rock bottom, but it is still really not the best.

    Hostmonster is in my opinion one of the best web hosting companies that you could find. Support is very friendly and any trouble that you bring to their attention will be dealt with very promptly and rapidly. This is really what I would call great service and it is actually quite rare to see from a web host these days. They have a good package which comes complete with very good quality features and a simple control panel that works really well. I recommend the Hostmonster company due to the excellent service that I have been provided with here.

    For what I use them for, Hostmonster is good. I have 3 basic websites that get about 50 hits each day for each site, hosted on my account. Not a single problem with any of the sites going down. Hostmonster said that they recently made server upgrades to increase reliability and I believe that this is true. Previously, I would sometimes get slow bandwidth at certain times of the day but now the problem is gone. Excellent on their part as this goes to show that a company can really make an effort and commitment to giving reliable service for customers.

    Hostmonster is good, in fact really good. For the price I am paying, the things that I am receiving are quite excellent indeed. Very great features and everything is made to be functional and easy to use at all times. Email works well and I am happy for that, as it is something I need to use a lot and with other hosts, I have had nothing but trouble getting my emails to be sent and received properly. Tech support has answered all questions in a timely manner and it usually takes them less than an hour to get back to you if you email them on a week day. This is simply the best hosting type ever.

    The best thing about HostMonster is that their sales people are actually very honest. I was planning to build several websites that would get about a thousand hits a day all combined, however after checking with their service I was told that they would not be the best hosting company for me because of limitations. Even though I never signed up for their service, I appreciate the fact that they told me up front that they would not be the right provider for me, rather than having me waste my time and money and then just have my sites shut down, like it happened with other providers. The only thing that is disapointing here is that they only have one plan. If they wanted to get more business they should have some bigger plans for business use, I would have signed up, since I was willing to pay up to $15 a month for hosting that is powerful enough for my needs. I found that in another company since.

They have one main hosting plan that they thoroughly explain on their site. So everything is very simple and yet very powerful if you see the features that they offer to their customers.     I like Hostmonster, mainly for the fact that they have real tech support that is not outsourced to some third world country. Another great thing about their support is that they really do answer right away, I never had to wait for long before getting an answer from them. As some of you know, this company is run by the same crew than Bluehost, which is a web host that some of my friends have used and were also satisfied with. Overall I recommend both companies, as anyways they are run by the same company and give their users very good tech support. I don’t have much to say about the web hosting for itself, simply that it worked for me. There is no trouble at all with them, you simply get what you are paying for: unlimited web hosting.

    HostMonster has gotten quite bad and this is why I left them. But there were also many things that I just did not like about this hosting provider. While they say everywhere that their hosting is UNLIMITED UNLIMITED UNLIMITED this doesn’t hold true in practice. One thing that I do not like is some false advertisement like that. I am not talking about hosting 200 sites in one account or anything like that, just that they impose relatively stupid limits. For example, there is a 50 megabyte limit on video files. So if you host videos on your site, then you need to have them hosted somehwere else if they are more than a few minutes long. While their technical support and customer service are certainly American and can speak English, this is about the only positive thing that I can say about them. Other than that they seem to be simply rude and quite “passive” meaning they sound bored and just uninterested in providing any legitimate help. Perhaps if you just want some cheap hosting without paying any regard to the service that you will be receiving, this might be a recommended host for you. But if you want to be dealing with a professional company, then I can safely say to skip this one. You won’t like what you are getting: hosting is too slow and there are numerous problems with uploading files. FTP stopped working on me one day and their tech support had to be contacted way too many times to get it resolved.

    I am now in my fifth year with Hostmonster and I like it. Only bad thing is that their price they list on this site is nothing but a promotional price that will run out once you are through with your first term with them. I am paying about $7 right now for unlimited hosting, which is still not bad in my opinion. Their server up time and their technical support were simply outstanding. The only thing they should improve are some of their features. I was quite angry with their site builder, as it seemed to not work well and is actually not powerful enoguh to design anything more than a basic site that looks like it’s a kids project. They also offer a feature of a cart that you can use for a shopping site but they don’t provide support for it they just say that it is a free feature that they give as a convenience to their customers. I never could figure out how to get that shopping cart thingy to work at all so I ended up using another free one that I found online.

    Oh boy, where do I start with this one. HostMonster is one of the worst hosting companeis that I used in the pasrt decade and I have used a lot, believe me. What is bad is the constant server problems and down time, which is something that I just cannot be dealing with anymore. When contacted, they say that their technicians have already been contacted about the issue and are working on providing a resolution. But if they are actually working on anything, it seems that they are slow as a turtle because the problem is usually not fully resolved un til at least a few hours after. So if your site is down, you are pretty much left waiting for them to restore it. Until then, your site will either not be working at a ll or it will be working but extremly slow making it actually quite useless for any of your visitors unless they have the patience to sit there and wait 5 minutes until your site loads or to refreshs the page 10 times for it to be loaded correctly. This is really not a host that I would be recommending, the price may be right but there are simply too many problems tha tyou will have to deal with to make this worth the hassles.

    If you need your web hosting to run any kind of business, turn back right now. Hostmonster is not the kind of company that you want to be dealing with and don’t let their cheap prices fool you, because the cheap prices will ultimately mean that you will receive the cheapest possible kind of service. In the past two years, I have spent countless hours calling their tech support trying to figure out for what reason my website is down. This is not something that happens in the middle of the night, but rather during the daytime where the most people will be visiting my website. The problem is, that they always give an excuse such as that something broke and they are looking into fixing it. Strictly speaking, I cannot blame their technical support people for this, as it is not them which make any real decisions in the company. Quite possibly it is their management that sucks and does not know how you run a hosting company properly without goofing up like that. Hostmonster just doesn’t seem to know how to keep their servers operating correctly and this has caused me a lot of frustration and lost business. Well, now it seems that Hostmonster is about to loose all business from me because of their ineptitude. I am going to be launching a new business site next month and guess where it will be hosted? If you answered “not Hostmonster!” then you will definitely be right!! I don’t know what it will take for Hostmonster to realize that running a bad operation like theirs will mean losing all of their valuable customers, but it seems that in two years they did not learn any lesson. I am now browsing your site and going through web hosting reviews to see what company I should trust instead and I will be leaving Hostmonster in the next few days, as soon as I am able to find something that is way better.

    Hostmonster is decent overall. While I could understand from some of the Hostmonster reviews that certain people may not be happy with reliability, I think this has changed in the past couple of months. Now my site is running a lot more reliably than ever and there have been no serious outages. There was only one that lasted less than an hour that I remember and when customer support was contacted they informed me that one of the servers had a big problem and that they were moving all data to another one. Website service was restored within an hour so I believe that they did their job correctly. The pricing structure is also excellent at Hostmonster, the plan is simple to understand and there aren’t 100s of different options and plans to confuse you like with some other web hosting providers that I looked at.

    I think the service I have received at Hostmonster in the past 3 years of using them was actually goodl. No big problems occurred, though I did sometimes get delays in getting my email. Support was good and responded quickly to thigns that were brought to their attention. I had to leave this host because I did not need my website anymore. Now I am planning to build a new website again, but since it will be a web store I am in the market for VPS hosting and not a simple shared hosting plan. But when I had their hosting, Hostmonster was good and gave me what I was paying them for. Well, for just around $3 for month of hosting, I guess I can’t complain too loudly if things don’t reach absolute perfection.

    I was with this company for more than a year until my website has been hacked and their “support” team of clowns did not help me in any way to get it restored or even secured. When I called them the line was so noisy it sounded like a circus, which I guess would be appropriate since this company is composed of clowns and not serious people. When I called again and tried to get to someone who is serious, I was eventually told that they cannot do anything for me and that I am the one who needs to make my site secure and not them. Very poor customer support on their part, if they are supposed to be experts in their field they should at least be able to provide some basic advice. Instead, they just reset everything for me and I had to restore things from backup, in addition to figuring out what caused the hacking on my own. Wasted a lot of time with them and this is not t a company that I will be dealing with any longer. Now I moved all of my 4 sites over to Host Gator and surprisingly in four months there has nothing that was hacked. Seems to contradict what they were saying that someone is deliberately targeting my sites to hack them. Even if it was the case, it means that their own server security is BS, since at Host Gator nothing has happened to me, ever. If you don’t care too much about your site than it may bee a good hosting company for you. But if your websites are important and are the source of your business profits, then I recommend that you go far away from this mess. It is not going to be worth the trouble at all!

    It has been more than 5 years sinc e I am a customer of Host Monster and I like their service. They offer great up time on their service and tech support so far has been quite good. There are only two things that I need to mention which are not so good there. First, you will pay a higher price once the sign up promotion runs out after your first terms that you chose (1 2 or 3 year). Also, they offer e-commerce features like Open Cart and Zen Cart but their support told me that this is just for convenience of customers and they don’t provide any real support for them. So if something happens with your e-commerce site you will probably be on your own because they will simply say that it is the e-commerce software that is at fault and not their servers. I don’t know if other providers are like that, but for me this is not a major issue as I do participate in a few online business forums to find the answers that I need related to operating my e-commerce site. So overall I would say that it is a pretty decent host for my needs here.

    I don’t recommend singing up with Hostmonster, unless you want to be constantly dealing with server issues and down time a few times a week at least. The main problem with them is that the down time always seems to happen during peak hours, where it will inconvenience you the most. They do have a relatively useful feautre in their control panel which shows the status of your server, however it doesn’t really help much to see that they are aware of the problem and a technician is working on fixing it if the trouble goes on for several hours on end. Even though they claim something like 99% uptime, I don;t think that this is true given all the troubles that I have had with this host. Maybe 92% or something like this would be more accurate. I don’t know if they have a guarantee where they would refund you some money for uptime issues, but right now I simply don’t care about Hostmonster any more. I am moving my hosting to another provider and came to this site to see what else is available. Hostmonster simply caused me way too much trouble than what I wanted to deal with and I just do not recommend them to anyone because of these major issues.

    Even though Hostmonster says that their service is unlimited, there are some limitations that are hideen in their terms that you should know about. While they say it is all unlimited, you actually have a limit of 1000 database tables, which can be reached quite easily if you have several Joomla or Drupal installations on your site. I was hosting 1 forum with not too much activity on it as well as 2 blogs with just a few dozen posts and they claimed that I was using too much server resources and that I need to scale down my use. While I am aware of the limitations that shared hosting can sometimes have I believe that what they are offering is a bit too low. I am not saying that they are a bad host, just not the place if you have more than one website to host. Customer support overall was quite good and response time was good, it is just that during their live chat it may look like the agent that is in charge of talking to you is talking to several users at the same time, because it always takes them 3 or 4 minutes to respond to every sentence that you type in. Not a major problem, however it can be quite annoying if you are in a hurry and just need your issue fixed as fast as possible.

    I was hosting with them for quite a while now. However, I am quite angry at how they treat their customers and will be changing hosts now. My site was hacked by some moron who defaced it completely and left things in a mess. Rather than showing any empathy or desire to help me, Hostmonster simply blamed me for it saying that there is nothing that could have caused it on their servers and that it is all my fault. Since then I moved my hosting to Inmotion and there hasn’t been a single issue with my site, it was not hacked for the past 2 months now. Hostmonster might be ok if you are running just a small site that you don’t give too much importance to. But if you start receiving big traffic it is just like they don’t care about you or if something goes wrong with your site they will not want to elp you at all.

    If you are running any type of online business then Hostmonster is a place that you need to stay away from at all costs. I am not saying this just because I have had one bad experience with them but rather due to a series of problems that they have caused me time and time again. Over the past two years, I spent way too much time calling their support, emailing them, opening tickets, chatting with them and everything. Problem is that their tech support will very often not be able to resolve the problem at all. The only response that they consistently give is: something went wrong, we know it and we’re working on it. This usually lasts for a few hours, during which time your website will be down or functioning on and off. Unfortunately for them I had to leave for a web host that actually knows how to keep their servers functional all the time. If I lose traffic to my site, I lose money. So every time that my site is down I am losing money. HostMonster doesn’t seem to be able to understand this. Don’t think for a second that I would recommend this host to anyone and especially not someone who is running a business from their website. This host is bad, quite simply.

    My experiences with Hostmonster so far are quite diasspointing. Of course I did not expect everything to be 100% good and to be handed VIP world class service for just a few dollars a month, but Hostmonster could at least try to be a decent host. I understand outages can happen, but it seems like there is an outage of their hosting service at least once a week for the past month. For some reason this wasn;’t happening during the satisfaction guarantee, I wonder why that is. When the server goes down, the reply from their tech support is that their technicain is investigting the nature of the problem and that the time to complete the operation is unknown. Great going on their part, really. I can’t believe how they can claim to have 99% uptime, as this is really not true. I would not recommend Hostmonster because they are not a reliable host at all.

    HostMonster is quite good for light use I would say. Their service is sold as unlimited however there is a limit on 1000 database tables. So if you are going to be installing an entire suite of sites than this is probably not the hosting place for you. But on the other hand if you have one or two CMS sites or several HTML sites than it will be quite suitable. Their reliability is good as I did not notice any downtime at all. The sites seem to load well all the time. I didn’t run any tests to see exactly how many miliseconds it will take to load my site or anything, but for the eyes of an average user it should be ok. After reading some comments about them on a few forums, it would seem that there are certain users who are having problems with HostMonster. I am not saying that they are liars, it might be ture, but in my case there were no serious troubles, everything worked. I think I am going to stay with them until my original term is expired, after that we will see if the price goes up or if it stays the same. I have a few months left with them this is why I am checking to see what the prices with other good hosts are, as I want to be sure that I will be getting the best deal possible when it comes to hosting my website. In any case, HostMonster is good overall.

    If I will say anything about Hostmonster, it is simply don’t use them. I have seen come comments here and on other sites as well that look like they are based on a user who has been with a company for just a few days. But I have used Hostmonster for 3 years, as I am a person that always believes a company can change for the better eventually. However now that my term with them is up I will be leaving and going elsewhere, as I just can’t deal with the trouble anymore. During my first year when I wasn’t using their service that much, there was no trouble from them at all. Everything was going smoothly as I just had a site that got a little bit of traffic every day. But once I started getting more traffic, more issues started. They began suspending my site claiming I have violated their service terms and every single time there wasn’t really anything that I did wrong at all! Sometimes they simply had no explanations and said that this must have been a mistake. Other times they accused me of running a spam script while it was simply a script that would automatically send an email to a user that has signed up to my website. When I asked for an explantion each time to see exactly what rule I violated and what happened, they would reactivate my site (geeeeee thanks!) and either not respond at all, or reply with a link to their terms of service saying that I should read it for “my reference”.

    Hostmonster technical support are amateurs quite simply. They probably have a very high turnover rate at their business, because their support is not knowledgeable about anything at all. I know this, because I have been using Linux and Unix based system for several years now and can tell if someone really knows what they are doing or if they are simply giving you scripted responses that mean they have used absolutely 0% of their total brain power. Furthermore I do not like the attitude of their customer service and technical support people at all. Every time that you have a complaint or a problem that you would like to report, they blame the problem on you and state that if something doesn’t work correctly, it must be a problem with your site and not their service, because after all, their service is perfect, riiight?

    Now you understand what is making me leave this bad web hosting company. I do not recommend signing up here if you are actually serious about having good quality hosting. Staying away is a better option, because you have other companies on the top ten web hosting list you can look at. It is a mystery to me why they are even included in the list of the top ten web host because their service is so sub par and numerous complaints have been made about them from customers.     I know Hostmonster and Bluehost are the same company and I have used both during the past few years. My overall experiences with them have been really great, there was only one problem with Hostmonster where I was receiving my emails late by about 20 minutes. But I see that their technical support has been able to fix this veery rapidly after I contacted them and so far there was not thing else which happened. So I want to say that Hostmonster is doing an absolutely great job at running their company and definitely deserve to be among the best in web hosting. The prices are very fair, even after the initial sign up promotion runs out. They actually gave me a special offer when I was renewing for 3 more years, so it shows that they really care about their customers satisfaction and want to keep their loyal customers and not just try to sign on thousands of new people to their services.

    I think HostMonster is very good. I use their e-commerce shopping cart software that they put in the isntaller package and all was working great. Only a few difficulties in getting up and running with the site, but I was able to find the templates that I wanted and everything worked out to be great. I only contacted their customer service department once for a billing question and as far as I remember it was all great, they answered my query in a very quick and professional way. So I would like to thank them for the excellent service that they gave me over time and I am very happy that the web host that I selected (HostMonster) was an excellent one.

    I don’t recommend this hosting company as I had way too many problems with them. You would think that with all of the support options that they advertise on their website that they would be able to help. But in reality it turns out that they do not help at all. My website was hacked twice and the hacker could actually get into my cPanel. It wasn’t an issue with the password and no my computer did not have any kind of trojan on it or anything. Now I have left the company and I am in the process of transferring out my domain from them. But of course even something so simple like the transfers of a domain is getting to be a real hassle with HostMonster. Support keeps making excuses as to why problems happen and they always say that it is not their server. If it is not the server, then what the hell could it be then?

    Hostmonster has a lot of the features that you would expect to see from a good host like the Cpanel interface, a lot of hosting space, unlimited features, etc, etc, etc. However their reliability is just not up to par with what you would expect from a really professional web hosting company. There are many database outages and these are getting far too frequent for me to deal with right now. Am in the process of switching to another company just like many other people here. I simply cannot recommend this because of the numerous reliability problems with their servers.

Interfacces were easy to figure out and so very useful for keeping websites updated after building initially. So I will say about them great company!!

    Hostmonster hosting really looks cool at the beginning but there are a lot of things that they don’t tell you at the start. The first thing is that they do not allow files which are more than 50 MB. So if you have any videos that are over that, you need to split them apart which can be a hassle. If somebody sends them a FAKE FRAUDULENT copyright notice, they will take down your entire account, even if the alleged violation has nothing to do with all of the other sites in your account. They did that to me twice and I had to spend hours explaining to them and providing proof that I had the right to use all of the content and video sthat were on my site (later turns out that the fake DMCA notice was sent by a competitor). Their support is quite rude and slow to work too. Do not recommend at all.

Issues regarding politics, race, religion, economy, social issues, etc were discussed on my site, from ALL angles, so it is not like I was hating on any political or social group, there were articles and forum posts critical of all types of beliefs on the site, which is one thing that made it interesting for readers. First, they suspended my site over a YOUTUBE video that was posted which they said was “porn”. Umm… no it wasn’t, it was just a satirical music video that featured a few “lightly” dressed performers, but it wasn’t porn in any shape or form. Eventually, they relented and put my site back up. Next, they took down my site because I was promoting “hatred” according to them. I had to send several email messages to find out what the bloody hell that was about. It turns out that they didn’t agree with certain posts on the forum and a blog entry that criticized some hypocritical conservative candidates. Note that nowhere in the posts was there any calls to violence or inappropriate actions, just some rather sharp criticism and political opinion. After arguing, they finally restored my site. But I was really fed up with them and decided to leave.

    So it would seem that the company is run by some Ned Flanders wannabe that gets his panties all in a bunch whenever there is some “mature” discussion or some controversial topics being posted on a website. So now Hostmonster is only good if you want to create a website about knitting or to post cute pictures of smiling puppies and unicorns that fart rainbows it would seem. Obviously I would not ever recommend this web host to anyone here.

    I am with Hostmonster now for the past 5 years and even though I am now paying more than what they advertise for unlimited hosting, their technical support and reliability have been simply outstanding. The only thing that I dont really like besides the price increases is that they don’t really have a good site building tool for those who would like something simple to create a web page with. Their builder works, of course, but it just don’t work very well. The interface is a bit clumsy and there are many design elements that you cannot use on the site. But one thing that I liked is that they have many e-commerce tools available, including Open Cart that I use to power one of my websites with them. Overall they are a good host in my opinion.

    If you actually ae running any type of business here, then my recommendation for you would be to run for the hills now! Hostmonster is basically a type of web host where the “you get what you pay for” saying holds sadly true. Now I am just hours from jumping ship and never looking back. Over the past 2 years I have spent countless hours trying to get a hold of their technical support trying to figure out what just happened and why did my website go down for strange resons, very often in peak hours. Their technical support staff actually don’t have the power or knowledge to do anything about any problem that might occur. The only kind of response that I would get from them would be the infamous “Yes we are aware that this is a problem right now. No we don’t know what has caused it. Well it might be fixed soon…. yeah soon we don’t know really when.” If this happened just once, I would not be writing here complaining about it. But when you are signing up for a supposedly professional web hosting company that has their own servers and everything, you would kind of expect for them to be capable of keeping these servers running, no? Unfortunately, with Hostmonster this is really not the case. If I lose traffic, then I lose business, but they don’t seem to care too much for that, as it won’t affect THEIR business in the end. I am just a few hours away from moving my site, I am in the process of copying all of the files manually and then will sign up for a better web host. The good thing about the hosting industry is that there are websites like yours that provide information to customers who would like to make the good choice with regards to their web hosting. So at least for that I can be thankful I guess.

    Hello there! This is my comments on Inmotion web hosting. Recently, after having a few conversations with their technical support staff and customer service people, I received an email from them asking me for my comments about how their service were. I of course gave them my opinion, the support received from them was excellent and greatly exceeded my expectations. They really went above and beyond the call of duty and have provided exper assistance in getting my website up. During the time that I spoke to them, I saw that Inmotion has a very large amount of staff on hand to help with customer inquiries, as I don’t remember getitng the same person twice when I was in contact with them. To me, this indicated that the company is aware that to meet the growing needs of their business and their clients, they needed to provide top quality support and have the necessary amount of staff. I don’t recall the names of specific people as I didn’t really bother writing down their names (I only do this with companies that have caused me problems before and it isn’t the case here), so I want to thank the entire team for creating a winning partnership with my business. My site has now been published and is working, I saved a lot of time getting everything set up thanks to the competent and pleasant customer support staff on Inmotion web hositng.

    I have been with InMotion hosting services for quite a while and I can attest to the fact that their service levels in general are really te best. In the very rare time that there is some kind of outage, this is rarely because of their fault and if it is they will do everything possible to get things back up and running even if it is in the middle of the night.     Good “budget” type of host overall. Not exceptionally great, since there are times where I find that my website is just too slow for loading times. This applies to both a static website that I host and one that uses Joomla. But other than that, there have been no other troubles with Hostmonster. Support answers opened tickets very quickly. In fact the speed at which they respinded to my latest inquiry was very amazing, the ticket was replied to by a human being within 30 minutes of being opened. This is what I call caring for your customers and providing them with great hosting service. If they could fix their servers so that my website loads faster, they would be the perfect kind of web hosting for me then.

    Beware of Hostmonster as it is definitely one of the WORST places you could be with right now! I have a friend who actually used to work for the company that owns Hostmonster and Bluehost. Apparently, they know very well that their servers are plainly terrible. Of course their services are cheap, because they are trying to compete with all the hundreds of other shared hosting providers, many of which are actually better then them when it comes to quality. Let me give you this good piece of advice: shared web hosting is not good if you are serious about your SEO. This is due to the fact that there are plenty of spammers, maybe not email spammers but link spammers, which have accounts at Hostmonster. When the IP of a server gets banned on Google, your site will be affected as well if you are on the same server. So you definitely should get a VPS hosting somewhere else, luckily Bluehost and Hostmonster do not offer these and if they did they would probably find a way to mess these good services up as well. Another thing that you need to be wary about. According to my friend who used to do teach support for Hostmonster and Bluehost (same outfit), there are some employees which are responsible for going through forums, review sites and social networks to find information about the company and then leave BS positive reviews. So if you see a glowing review that says everything is soo good over there, you should probably be aware of the fact that it is a fake that was left by an employee and not a genuine review.

    I wouldn’t say that they are the best web host, but they could be in the top ten web hosting list without a doubt. After going through some of these comments I believe it is because people simply had too much expectations from a shared hosting company. To put it simply, it is not a good solution if you are running a web shop or a corporate site that is absolutely vital to your business and that receives thousands of visitors daily. For the site that I had with Hostmonster, everything went well. It was a simple website for a local business, as well as a blog and small forum for visitors to ask questions. I had to close the site due to the owner of the business closing it down to move on to another industry, so it wasn’t even my site, I was just administering it for him as he is not so good with computers. I did not notice significant technical problems. The only thing is that the control panel gets annoying sometimes. It would seem to be loading and then come back to the same page that you were at before. This happened a few times to me but then when you refresh, things come back to working normally. The email worked well too without any problem sending or receiving at all. I did not bother contacting their technical support for this, as it was too much of a minor issue. Right now I am on this site to look for a VPS hosting type for another client that wants me to build a website for them, which is a service that Hostmonster doesn’t seem to happen. So simply, this is a budget host that can give you good service, but if you need dedicated or VPS service, use these and pay maybe $30 a month rather than thinking that for $3.50 a month you can get the same service.

    Bad service here at Hostmonster. All that I wanted to do was something simple and they simply put me through hell. I had a dedicated IP option that I needed before for one of the sites that I was running. As I didn’t need it anymore, I asked them to remove it. They said they wanted the last 4 digits of the CC that I used to activate the account. Well the problem is that CC was lost over 3 years ago and they still wouldn’t budge. Any attempt at having a logical discussion with them failed and they refused to esalate the matter further. When I asked to speak to a manager, either one was not available, or he would get back in touch with me in a few days, which never happened. Good thing that I didn’t have my domains hosted there. I signed up with another hosting company based on the recommendation of a friend and simply disabled the autorenew on the Hostmonster account. Now I am gone, they sent me an email wondering why I removed all of the files form my account. I told them to do whatever they want, I am not going to use their service anymore and will let my account expire. Now they are filling up my email with alerts that my account will expire and some crappy promotions, but I am definitely not coming back with them ever again. Glad that I found another hosting service. This ones seems to be run by incompetent baboons.

    Hostmonster offers good service for the price that you pay. Not too bad, but there are a few issues with reliability sometimes, as my site is a bit slower to load during the peak hours. But the good thing is that it is always available, even if it does take maybe 5 seconds more to load. The customer support was useful and friendly during the 2 times that I spoke with them. So far I don’t have anything bad to say about them at all, so I will be sticking around with Hostmonster for the time being. I will see when it is time to renew my plan what kind of rate they will charge me then, but if it is reasonable then I will be staying with them. If not I will look for another company.

    Beware of Hostmonster. I was hacked two times in the past year when using this company. Did they help? Not at all. One of their technical support reps told me straight up that there was noting that they could do to keep hackers from breaking into my site and wrecking havoc with it. I just cancelled my service with them and moved all of my sites over to Inmotion hosting. At least now I found a company that knows how to keep their servers secure from attacks by hackers. It would seem like Hostmonster doesn’t want to invest in the proper firewalls and security software to keep their servers from getting hacked all the time. I have a friend who is also with Hostmonster and has experienced a similar issue with them. Once they lose nearly all of their customers, maybe then they will realize the importance of providing a good service to their customers. But for now, I am out and I don’t plan on ever recommedning Hostmonster to anyone because of this.

    For those of you who are looking for inexpensive, high quality web hosting, then Hostmonster seems like a good choice. Especially for WordPress hosting, as they have an easy auto installer tool for WordPress and other blogging platforms like Joomla and Drupal that you can use. It costs less than $4 a month and I think a free domain is included, though I am not sure as all of my domains are at Godaddy since they are generally very cheap for domains. But for web hosting, Hostmonster rocks. I spoke with their support department by live chat once and they were very quick to answer all of my questions completely. For now, everything is going great and I hope that they will keep up this excellent service.

    I am a customer of Hostmonster for 2 years now and I think this is a good host. Price is very inexpensive, though I don’t know if they are planning to raise their price after my 3 year promotional period is up. Right now I am paying $3.95 per month. Very affordable for unlimited hosting. I got 3 sites hosted with them right now and everything is going great. Before, I was with Justhost and I was constantly having problems with my blog not working right and experiencing all kinds of troubles. Good thing that this doesn’t happen here at Hostmonster. In the past 2 years, I have spoken with them maybe 2 or 3 times and each time they were very polite and helpful. I really felt like they were interested in helping me, which is great for a web host. Too many web hosts out there only seem to care about their money and not enough about their customers. I am glad that this is not the case with Hostmonster and have finally found a hosting company that I liked using.

I had no trouble at all figuring out how their interface worked and all the help files and tutorials that were included did the job very well. They even provided me with some excellent advice on how I can keep my website updated and working well after I have first built it. Their customer service was always rapid in responding to my inquiries, which is something that I find truly amazing about this web hosting company.     I joined Host Monster 2 years ago and I did so before reading any kind of review website or even checking with anybody else. Now I realize that this may not have been the smartest possible decision on my part, but things didn’t go as bad as they did for some people on this review website. I am not sure if this company deserves to be called one of the best web hosts or to be on the top ten web hosts list, but they are still not that bad in my own opinion.

    I was using them to host 3 blogs and 1 web store and at the beginning everything was going quite well. Did not experience any server crashes or slow download speeds. This seemed to change after the first year and after my website started to get a whole lot more visitors, over 200 per day. Now you should know that as far as content goes, my website isn’t too intensive on bandwidth, however I was runninga Joomla hosting e-commerce plugin, so this is what may have caused some of the slow speeds in my thoughts. What happened, however is that almost at the end of the 2 year service term that I signed up with them, they sent me an email saying that they could no longer be my hosting provider due to the fact aht my site was using too many resources on their server. At that point I only ha done web store and a small blog to go with it. They suspended my website 2 times before that but they restored it with no major trouble, just saying that I needed to make some adjustemtns so that the CPU usage is not that high. Now I understand that this is really not the kind of web host that you need to use if you are going to be selling anything online.

    For some of you, Hostmonster could be great and a very good web hosting choice, but if you are going to run your own site that sells something, you should really forget it. In this case you would need a more professional web hosting company, like Inmotion that I am using right now, or you could make an even better choice and instead use a dedicated or VPS server hosting choice for more power.

    I host a few different sites for some clients, as well as for me. So it was important that I had a hosting company that can address any problems with their service very quickly. I called then several times, but no matter that time of the day or night, they are always capaable of fixing any issues very rapidly. Every time I got to speak to one of their staff members they were very friendly and competent in solving the issue at hand. Just the other day my payment didn’t go through because my card was expired and they took my payment and restored my service immediately. I am really impressed with the Hostmonster service and so would recommend them to any one of my clients.

    In my case, I find that Hostmonster is good for very basic shared hosting, however you need to read the service terms very carefully to be aware of their limitations. I am now switching to another host since I have outgrown Hostmonster as I have 5 different sites now, all of which receive a decent amount of traffic each day.     I did have some problems with Hostmonster last year and I kind of stuck with them, mainly because of the fact that changing hosts is not the most convenient and fun experience and also because one of their supervisors telling me that they are making a lot of effort to fix their servers and get new ones, etc. Ok, I thought that I would give them a chance and things started to get better this year, so I stayed with them. But as of September, they are going down the hill again. I was starting to receive emails that there is an error in the database and the server can;’t connect to it (I run a small forum). Then I went to see for myself, the site would work but load extremely slowely . Then again, it would not load at all or I would get a connection timeout. I would try to talk with them on their live chat, thinking that this is a simple issue to be resolved, but no such luck. I was kept waiting over 25 minutes and the support people are quite rude telling me that they are fixing it and nothing else could be done for now. This happened a few more times, when I log in to the control panel, the server status is saying that maintenance is being performed and problems should e resolved shortly without any indication of when this will be done. So this only leaves the customers wondering as to what is really going on with their hosting here. The bottom line is that Hostmonster may be good if you are hosting a personal site that you are not making any money from. But if you are marketing something and especially if you have paid for ads online, then avoid. You will literally be wasting your money, as people will click on an ad to go to your site, you pay, but then they get nothing as the Hostmonster server is crapping out completely again. So this is not a professional host by any means. AVOID!!

But as of September, they are going down the hill again. I was starting to receive emails that there is an error in the database and the server can;’t connect to it (I run a small forum). Then I went to see for myself, the site would work but load extremely slowely . Then again, it would not load at all or I would get a connection timeout. I would try to talk with them on their live chat, thinking that this is a simple issue to be resolved, but no such luck. I was kept waiting over 25 minutes and the support people are quite rude telling me that they are fixing it and nothing else could be done for now. This happened a few more times, when I log in to the control panel, the server status is saying that maintenance is being performed and problems should e resolved shortly without any indication of when this will be done. So this only leaves the customers wondering as to what is really going on with their hosting here. The bottom line is that Hostmonster may be good if you are hosting a personal site that you are not making any money from. But if you are marketing something and especially if you have paid for ads online, then avoid. You will literally be wasting your money, as people will click on an ad to go to your site, you pay, but then they get nothing as the Hostmonster server is crapping out completely again. So this is not a professional host by any means. AVOID!!!!

Their customer service is very helpful and gave me some good advice on WordPress hosting and how to make my site more secure and better performing.     Simple host to use for a low price. They got good tools in their Control Panel interface and you can easily figure it out on your own. I never used a paid host before and only used really basic hosting like Geocities and Fortunecity back in the 1990s, though I doubt many of you will even remember these services. So it was the first time I used a ‘real’ hosting company. I don’t have anything specific to complain about, there is just nothing that went wrong that I remember or would even care about. Their service works the way that it is intended to, as it lets you upload your website and host it. I don’t know about their website building tool, I saw they had one but didn’t bother trying it, since I was learning how to use Dreamweaver and didn’t want a simplistic tool for my site, I wanted to learn how to do it the professional way. I just put all of my files in a folder on my computer and then uploaded them with an FTP program. All went well and my website was live right away. The price is not something I can complain about, as it is really lower than most of the other things online that you would pay for in any case.

Not only are they unreliable, but the way that their customer service treats their paying customers also leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately. When I called them to kindly report the issue about their servers beign unavailable and slow, they said there is nothing wrong and that the problem should be coming from my end. I asked one of my business associates to test it, using another ISP as he was on the other side of the pond, and still the same problems were going on. It would look like they don’t want to take any responsibility for their problems. Also, they are behaving dishonestly and they suspended my hosting for stupid reasons. One of them was where they claimed I was not following the rules on file storage by hosting files instead of web content and of distributing copyrighted files. I had to talk to the support agent like to a 9 year old child when I had to explain repeatedly that the files I was offering for download were service manuals created by MY business for products that WE sell and therefore it is not possible to pirate your OWN materials. It took about 15 minutes for the circuits inside his brain to activate and admit that they might have been a screw up and that my website should not have been deactivated for that. My verdict on this host is that if you are only building a personal site, or want to show the world about some hobby that you have, then sure you can go ahead and use Hostmonster, it will probably work well for you. But if the reason that you are using their service is for business, you should forget it and research another host. Glad that I was able to find another hosting company after trying a few more.

    I now host several different websites at Hostmonster and have been doing so for 3 years now, never had any kind of bad problem. It could happen once in a while that the sites would go down for a few minutes to maximum one hour, but these are the things that you can see happening in any of the shared hosts. I really do nt remember ever if my site went offline for over an hour. The control panel that they use has a goodd layout, everything is really neatly organized to make things easier to find. I like the fact that when I log in to my control panel, it is there for me to manage my hosting and not see advertisements and up sells and cross selling some junk overpriced products, as you can often see with Go Daddy. Anyone who used Go Daddy will know that before yu can advance anywhere in their interface you will need to sift through 5 pages of advertising stuff before you get to what you really want. Support as Hostmonster has been great all through the 3 years, even though I didn’t talk to them miuch mainly because everything they had was working right. For your hosting needs, I honestly recommend using Hostmonster; they are really good!

    I like this web host. Funny name, but they seriously do give good support and service. Their support should make you want to join this company if anything. No matter how you get in touch with them, chat, email or telephone support they are good. The phone and the chat are always answered in 3 minutes or less so for those who do not like waiting to receive service this is excellent. During the day, email is answered in about 1 hour. Advice given is always friendly and not complicated. They show that they want you to succeed as a web master, which is good especially since plenty of companies in the hostingg business don;’t care too much and just try to put too many people on one server without caring about the crap service this will create for everyone. Good thing they also all speak English correctly, so you will have no trouble understanding what they are saying.

    I am a long standing customer of HostMonster for 2 years now. I admit that at some times things could have been better with the reliability and the technical support actually solving things, but now it looks like they finally got their stuff together and are becoming a decent hosting company again. For the past 3 months there hasn’t been a single service interruption or feature in the cpanel that stopped working. I saw on their blog that they have upgraded their servers recently, so maybe this had something to do with it, I don’t know. But in any way, I see that they are now doing what they are supposed to be doing which is giving great hosting. I hope things will stay that way at Hostmonster, because I for one really hate switching hosting companies.

There is not much confusion about their plans and services, because they only have one basic plan and this offers you full unlimited service. I had some questions about buiolding my website and making WordPress work and they were actually able to give very good guidance and suggestions on making the whole thing work very well for me.     I am really giving up now, even after being a customer of 3 yars with Hostmonster. Some may think that this is stupid and if I didn’t like their service I should have left, which is true, but I don’t like moving my websites around since this is not an easy thing to do. With 4 websites ti takes nearly all day to get things moved and then set up correctly. But really I am giving up with Hostmonster. They had some good periods, but the overall trend with this company is unfortunately negative. Things go down on an almost daily basis. Sometimes the sites would stay up for maybe 4 or 5 days straight and then BAM!!! it goes down for a few hours again, usually during the day. The support department at Hostmonster seems to be aware of this, but they can’t do nothing, as all that their support does is report the issues to their technicians who are supposed to work on the server but apparently nothing good ever got done here in the past 3 years. Constant issues with downtime went from being slightly annoying to completely stupid during this period. Now I am in the process of finding a new host for my sites. Even Go daddy will do as they are not as bad as Hostmonster. Avoid Hostmonster and also you would be much better off if you avoid their sister company Bluehost, since they are basically the same garbage as they are running off the same servers and run by the same team.

    Hostmonster is good in general but there are some things about them that I just do not like. First, they post ads all over the place in their control panel and they even have popup ads there. They also put ads for themselves on whois details, plus any error page is also covered with ads for themselves. It seems like they are desperate for publicity, just like a kid who spray tags his name all over the city because he thinks it will make him “cool” for some reasons.

    I’ve had my website hosted by Host Monster for quite awhile now. While I can certainyl say that their hosting is really inexpensive, it is also really unreliable. I would often get times where my website is down anywhere from just a few minutes to over an hour due to various problems that they are having with their servers. I have to make calls to tech support, sometimes every 2 weeks, asking them what happened and why my website is down. It looks like they’ve made some changes to their servers as of late that started causing untold problems with their CPU. They don’t even seem to know what the problem is, they just keep dodging questions either pretending that everything is all OK or that it would be fixed sometimes soon. They are also quite rude on the phone as well, acting like they don’t want to talk to you and that you are wasting your time by complaining to them. In the past 8 years that I’ve been using web hosting with other companies, i’ve never had my sites go down, not even for more than a few minutes. So no wonder that I am leaving Hostmonster.com for good now.

    This was the first time that I put together my own website.Hostmonster is great and a company that is really easy to work with. The interface that they use is standard without anything complicated, so you can very easily figure out how to upload your website and keep it updated after you first build it. I don’t really have anything else to compare them to in terms of the speed of their hosting, but to me it looked all pretty reasonable and good, no problems there at all at the speed level. I asked them a few questions when I was starting out and needed some advice on whether their host was right for me, they always took the time to explain things really clearly. Hostmonster really are a great company for me.

They answer their phones when you call them within 1 minute and you always get to speak with a guy who can actually speak English correctly.     Very good choice for hosting. Good servers and not oversold like other companies, meaning more reliability. They’ve got some upgrade options if you’re building a bigger website that will give you more resources like the CPU, but it does come at a price. Too bad they don’t give VPS hosting as this would be a better choice for my newest website that I’m going to add. In all this is a good host.

    This is a company that i’ve used for several years now and host 8 websites with them. I had hosting with 1&1 before and they’ve messed up my websites when they made some changes to the way their servers handle PHP. It was quite a crapshoot to fix so when their contract expired I switched my sites over to here. Hostmonster is decent overall with the price and the support. Their tech support goes from acceptable to excellent but still your essential questions will always be answered and your website will always work just like it should.

    My website was hosted by this company for quite some time now. I admit that their shared web hosting is quite inexpensive but the main problem I have is the fact that it is highly unreliable. Website goes down nearly each day, ranging from a few minutes to an hour due to various server problems. They always say that it will be back up within a few minutes, but it rarely is really a few minutes, most of the time its like an hour for the site to be fullyy back up again. There are plenty of unclear issues about this host and themselves it looks like they don’t really know what’s wrong with their systems. If I were you I would stay away from Host Monster at least for now. Yeah, I believe that there’s hope for any company to change, but quite simply I’m glad that my contract with them is going to expire in 4 months so I’m not losing a lot of money by leaving them right away and going after a more reliable hosting company. This one really doesn’t deserve any place on your list of the top ten web hosting companies and neither does their other company Bluehost. If you’re thinking of signing up with Bluehost, then you should know that they’re the same company that runs Host Monster so most definitely you will end up getting the same bad level of service at both of their outfits. Moral of the story would be to stay away.

    It has been 2 years that I am with this company and I’m hosting my business site with them. We have a simple site that gives a catalog of products, as well as specifications of them. My company sells construction and industrial equipment. We don’t have too many visitors each day, but every visitor counts as many of them are big clients who are interested in buying our vehicles and equipment. This is why we’re quite happy that there’s no down time that’s been reported. Every time me or one of my assistants checks the site, it is up and loading fine. The email is also another element of their service that we use a lot and there’s never been a single time where messages were not delivered as they should have been or anything like this. All that I can say is that if you want a good web site hosting company for a small business site, then Hostmonster looks like a good deal. Other service providers in my area would charge about $15 for the same small business hosting services, but here its more like $4 a month with everything. Quite a bargain that we got during the sign up promotion at Hostmonster too.

    HostMonster is a good company when it comes to their server reliability. There’s a few times where the site is inaccessible for a few minutes, but it always goes back up completely within just a few minutes and this doesn’t happen often. User interface in the control panel is very easy to work with. Email interface works well too and doesn’t take too much time to load. This is good especially if you’re accessing the email from a mobile phone, as you don’t have 5 minutes to wait for an important message to load before you read it. I’m very glad to have chosen a company that gives such good value to their users and want to thank them for their good work as my hosting provider.

I saw that they had a money back guarantee, so I signed up to see what their service was like. Was very pleasantly surprised. All worked much better than I would expect from such a low price company.     On the outside, their hosting service may look quite good and very attractive but theres been trouble with them recently. The website hosting part of their business looks like it runs quite well and there’s no trouble there, but the main issue that I have now with them would be their email service. Many of the messages that I send, which are regular messages and not a mailing list or anything, get rejected because it seems that some of their email servers are on some kind of black list for spam. Looks like Hostmonster couldn’t keep out the spammers from their hosting service and now they’ve ended up on blacklists. Support was contacted twice about this in the past few months and their only response was that they’ve taken note of the issue and will be opening up a ticket so they could investigate the issue. Now I don’t even know if they actually did what they claim they did with regards to the “ticket” that was opened, because there has been no resolution provided or anything, not even a “sorry we screwed up” response. I guess it’s time for me to move on to a better hosting company, which is what I’m going to be doing today.

    I’m now hosting several sites with Hostmonster and been with the same company for over 2 years now, never ever had a problem with them, not even a small one. Maybe once in a while one of the sites could go down or time out when loading, but this lasts only a few minutes and is normal for any shared hosting package. I never could remember one of my sites going offline for more than a few minutes. The user interface with Hostmonster is great and they’ve designed their control panel extremely well. Their control panel and the signup process was not filled with an endless stream of ‘special’ offers and attempts to sell you a more expensive service where you have to wade through. Anyone that’s been with GoDaddy before will know what this is and how stupid such a business tactic is for a web host. This is why I would honestly recommend Hostmonster for anything hosting related. For cheap and reliable shared hosting, Hostmonster is a an excellent choice to make.

    When I first joined up with Hostmonster for just $5.95 per month I thought that this would just be an average host, but I was really surprised by their good quality.     I’m really done with Hostmonster.com. I used them for 2 business sites and have been around with them for 2 years now, so this isn’t something that is just a temporary issue. At first, things were good for the first couple of months and their hosting worked just like the way it should be working. Bu tthen the problems started and the site would load very slowly or not at all on certain times. As I’m writing this, the site is down and I can’t log in to the control panel to see what’s going on. During the times that my site is down or not working fast, the only thing that’s available in the control panel to tell me something’s wrong is a message saying that they’re aware of the issue and that their technicians are working on solving the problem. Too bad but Hostmonster seems to have these kinds of problems way too often as of late and this is just not something that I can accept anymore. Good thing that my terms with them is running out and I’m now canceling my account even though I still have a few months to go with them. The trouble I’ve been through with them is just not worth dealing with anymore.

    I’m really not pleased with their bad services. You should stay away from HostMonster as well as their sister company Bluehost, they’re basically the same place now. Even though they claim to be one of the most affordable hosts and have promotions and all, they’re really not the cheapest and charge $5.95 per month. You can get better hosting for less than that and considering the fact that their quality is just not there, it’s not worth wasting your time with them. Support on the phone is quite rude and they like to blame any problem on your site on you. They don’t even want to listen and when you say that you’re using a system like Drupal or Joomla, they will go back and tell you that it must be something wrong with the way you’ve set up your website, because obviously there could never be anything wrong with their service, really? Stay away from both HostMonster and Bluehost, these are two hosting companies that all webmasters should be aware of and avoid like the plague!

    Things at Hostmonster used to be good for me, but now the service has gone down the drain fast. I will be canceling my subscription to them really soon, even if this means that I’ll be losing some money since I’ve paid up for almost 1 more year with this crappy excuse for a web host. Their servers are now very unreliable. I use them for WordPress hosting and my site is really simple enough. Shouldn’t be any problems with that, right? Now it looks like they’ve made some changes to the way their servers operate and I’ve been having tons of issues lately. Mainly, there’s the fact that my site often times out when loading. Using WordPress to upload files is also 4 times slower than before. Uploading a 1 MB file sometimes takes several minutes and this is definitely not a problem with my internet connection but with their servers. Chatting with their support absolutely gave nothing to help solve the problem at all. It just seems like they don’t care too much about their customers to actually solve any problems that they’re having. If any of you are looking at this and are in search of a good quality host, then my best advice to you would be to save your money and go somewhere else, because this hosting company is just not worth the trouble at all and I really mean it. I’ve gotten some better service from some free hosts in the past.

    I host a blog on Host Monster. Since the first day I saw that I was with a good host. All the tools needed are there, you can install a CMS system like Joomla very easily. Their technical support is very helpful with Joomla hosting and gave me some advice on how to make my site work better. Very happy with Host Monster and I recommend them to all of you. Their service may cost $1 or $2 more than the cheap companies but you will see that there’s always a major difference when it comes to service quality when you’re dealing with an actual hosting business that is serious about what they do and not just a host that loves to say that they’re the cheapest host and then doesn’t do anything useful to help their customers. I want to say good work to Host Monster, they’re really the best in my book!

    It’s very high quality and also cheap web hosting. For just $5.95 per month HostMonster gives you everything that you could want. Unlimited space, unlimited traffic, free domain and more free sudomains. If you need unlimited emails they can give that to you as well, I think it’s included in their plan now. They support every programming language like full PHP support and Python, which is something that lacks in other web hosts. Working with Ruby on Rails hosting was also great here. Many other companies don’t support it fully and their technical staff know nothing about it, but at least HostMonster is a company that has staff which really know what they’re doing. Image galleries and Coppermine were also very useful to help customize my website. They may not be the cheapest web host anymore these days but one thing is for sure is that quality wise they’re at the top of their game and this is a host that’s built a solid reputation and looks like they’ll stay around for the long run. Anybody that needs great hosting also needs to look at HostMonster’s features.

    Now that I’ve gone through so many problems with them, I find their name to be quite ironic to say the least. Host Monster is like a monster that’s supposed to scare little children or something. First before we signed up for my business, I took the time to ask their sales staff whether their plan would be suitable for us. We have 2 websites that contain virtual tours of some properties. This does take up quite some bandwidth and CPU usage at times especially during times where traffic increases, usually during the summer months when people are looking for vacation properties to rent. Host Monster assured us that everything will be fine. Lo and behold, about 2 weeks later, they suspended the account and said that it’s using too much resources, because they were too many people on the site at the same time. Makes no sense, since there were maybe 3 or 4 site visitors at once maximum at any given time. They then told us we need to upgrade to a plan that costs $29 a month more or something, but it’s not even VPS hosting or anything of the sort, they just use the fee to supposedly give you more resources on their server, which is supposed to be unlimied anyways. Needless to say, we’ve let them cancel our service. I now moved my business sites to In Motion and no such problems have happened after 3 months of consistent usage.

    I used to think that Host Monster was a good host and this is actually the reason why I signed up with them in the first place. But unfortunately, things have changed in the past year or so and have gotten a turn for the worse. Reliability used to be excellent, now it is just barely acceptable for a paid host. They claim to have something like 99.9% up time, but the reality is it would be more like 95% up time to be generous. You never know when the server that’s hosting your website will get a problem and your site will be down for several hours on end. This is something that has happened to me on several different occasions now. The only answer which you’ll get from tech support is that they are working on it. Their techs may answer your queries rapidly, but when there’s a problem with their servers you just have to wait for it to be fixed and can’t do anything else. The price is also not so good when compared to the other web hosts out there. You can get much better hosting for half the price that Host Monster charges. My advice would be to stay away, simply because there’s far better companies available now with all their promotions.

    The service quality at Hostmonster is decent overall, but I’ve seen services that were a bit metter for their price. It’s now $5.95 per month which is a bit high, as this is the price that they charge you if you take a 36 month term. The other hosts cost less and provide some of the same features that Hostmonster gives. But still if you want a host that is stable and will not cause you any trouble then you should check out the services of Hostmonster. Reliability is quite good overall here.

    In my 1 year with Hostmonster I’ve gotten nothing but the best service for my website. All the services they have run very well here. I installed Joomla from their control panael and it was running within a few minutes. The tech support people of Hostmonster were very helpful in getting my website set up quickly so that I could use it right away. This is why I would certainly recommend using Hostmonster for everybody that would like a good quality hosting solution that isn’t way overpriced like some of the web hosts I’ve seen on this list.

    Hostmonster was really good to me in the 5 years I used them. Since my needs changed and I needed more flexible hosting to run some server side applications, I switched to a cloud hosting provider I found on your site recently, but wanted to leave some comments about my experience with Hostmonster as they were my host for a couple of years. Their service was quite good with no reliability problems. In the few times that I’ve contacted support, they were very competent at answering my questions and did so very quickly. The only thing I didn’t like too much is that the price goes up after the first 3 years. I was paying about $5 and they raised it to around $8.50 per month or something after that. Still not bad considering the value that you get from them.

    HostMonster has excellent support. That’s one of the main advantages of using their service. They will at least provide your with an explanation if something with their service is not working quite right at he moment w which is more than most other web hosts have done for me in the past. I had a few problems getting FTP to connect and they informed me they were having issues and would be fixing it right away. It was back up in less than an hour. While I can’t say that HostMonster is 100% reliable they are at least trying very hard to avoid major problems. When my site would go down a few times in the past year it would only be for a few minutes at a time. Glad that they’ve got their service quality figured out.

    I’m a longtime satisfied user of the Hostmonster service since 2006 and I’ve gotten very good service with this company. Right now I maintain 3 websites hosted with them. I began my service with Hostmonster after I first had very poor service from another hosting company. Hostmonster’s 24/7 support and their good answers to my questions before signing up were the main reason as to why I decided to host with them as opposed to another company. It is rare that I call their tech support, but thwn I do, they’re always available even in the evening and on weekends. The tech support people are always friendly and knowledgeable when I talk to them. I’ve rarely seen any down time but then again I only work on my websites once every two weeks as they’re basically low maintenance sites that don’t need to be updated all that often. I know that web hosting has now turned into a very competitive business where everyone is trying to impress potential new clients by giving them the lowest prices. I admit that they may not be the most competitively priced company anymore but I will always recommend HostMonster to anybody that is looking for a great quality hosting company.

    I will honestly say that I don’t recommend this host at all. Host Monster may look great when you check out their web site, but the service that I got was a true headache. There were problems right from the very beginning. Account set up was supposed to be instant and I was ready to start working on my site right away. Then I found out I couldn’t log in. Contacted them by phone and they told me I needed to wait a few hours to log in again as sometimes it takes a while to set up the hosting. Tried again a few hours later didn’t work. Contacted them again and now they said I needed to fax my ID and credit card to them. Did this, waited another day before finally being able to use my account again. Ran into too many problems after. Servers not up to speed and down time twice in a month. Finally canceled and went on to a better company. They definitely don’t live up to their promises which is why I wouldn’t recommend this host to anybody at all after what I’ve been through.

    I signed up at this place because they had a promotion where you got hosting for $3.95 per month with the coupon. This was quite good as their regular price before was around $5.95 per month. As a shared host, they’re very good if you understand the limitations of shared hosting. You can host unlimited amounts of sites and subdomains, but you will need to keep your usage and your amount of files that you host to a sensible level or else they will suspend your account. Hostmonster is a great company if your needs for hosting are really simple, you shouldn’t have any problems with them at all.

    A lot of people told me that Hostmonster was great, so I signed up with them as they had a good price for a host that supposedly was the most reliable around. Them and the other company they own, Bluehost were shown as being the most reliable hosts online. In my experience this hasn’t really been the case so far. Built 2 blogs that had a lot of photos on them. Started getting problems almost right away with them. Sometimes the site would load, some other times it wouldn’t and just times out, or just returned a database error instead of loading completely. Opened a ticket and they first said everything was fixed and should be fine. After problems started happening again, they then told me that my site was using too much RAM and bandwidth and I had to upgrade my service which would mean I would now be paying for a $20 a month more add on. No thanks. I switched to another company where I pay about $7 monthly and I get no problems at all despite the fact that my site is a bit heavy on content.

    Had Hostmonster for nearly 3 years before I closed some of my sites down so I didn’t need their hosting any more. The web hosting experience is good over all at Hostmonster. Servers stay up at all times so reliability was nothing that I could complain about. The trouble I had was during signing up and almost made me cancel my service with them and look elsewhere. They advertise that the sign up was instant, but it took almost 3 hours to get my account up and running. Then about an hour later they shut down my account again. They asked me for all sorts of documents to prove that I was really who I said I was. Don’t quite remember what I had to send them but it was probably something like my passport address proof and credit card. Then it took them two days because they either didn’t receive the documents or the picture was not clear enough or some other junk. I just purchased a year of their hosting service for about $50 or something. If I was a scammer they could simply shut down my service and that would have been the end of it, it’s not like I leased 10 dedicated servers at $1000 a month or something. I understand they need to protect themselves but this company just seems to be too paranoid if they did that to me.

    I came to this site to see some options for VPS hosting and compare hosts. Right now I’m with Host Monster but my site is going to outgrow the limits of a shared hosting service very soon so I’m getting ready to move over to a VPS service. Found many of your reviews useful to I’ll add a bit about my experience with Host Monster. Hosting reliability was great. Support was also good but I felt that at some times they try to rush you to just get you off the line. Not too bad they probably get a lot of calls. Email here worked with no problems at all. I don’t know what the current promotions are with Host Monster or if this site gives a special coupon for them but when I was using them I got a rate of $4 per month for the first 3 years which was a good price for a reliable host like them. Other than that I don’t really have much else to report on them. For those who need shared hosting they’re definitely an option worth considering.

    Don’t recommend Host Monster. I’ve simply had too many problems with them to make it worth staying here. First, my site got hacked about 2 months ago and it was a nightmare to fix. They tried to blame me and suspended my account. Finally after a lot of talking to their support they restored the site data from backup, but it took nearly 2 days to get everything up and working again. Would certainly not recommend this host to anybody.

    I like my service at HostMonster. The reliability of the host is great in general. There were a few times where my website was slower than usual, but I got 2 WordPress websites with them so that could explain it. But other than that my website is fast the remaining 99% of the time so I really don’t have much to complain about regarding their service speed. I didn’t call their phone support but I used the live chat on their website and opened a ticket once for help with insttalling a tracking script on my website and they were helpful when I contacted them for that. The only thing is that once your promotional offer expires the price goes back up to around $6 per month. But even with that I will stay with HostMonster because they always gave me hosting that was simply excellent in quality and completely worry free. If you want a good hosting kind without any problems at all than I would certainly recommend that you select HostMonster from the list of the top ten web hosts.

    Sure, Host Monster has a tech support department that answers any inquiry very fast, so they get good marks for the speed of their support. But when it actually comes down to solving a problem, this would be zero… The longer you stay with them, the more problems you get as I noticed. My websites were constantly getting time outs, or down right errors saying that the page could not be displayed. Honestly, I wouldn’t even recommend this host if they were completely free. Their reliability is not up to par for a paid host and I’ve had better reliability from some free hosts in the past. I’m out of there and now looking for a better company to do business with. Host Monster is definitely not up to the task for me and I’m sure that my case is not an isolated one.

    Our business has several domains now hosted with Hostmonster but we’re thinking of changing this and moving some or all of our sites onto another hosting partner. During the daytime, our sites will either be loading very slow and sometimes even not at all. As I’m writing this, I’m having trouble viewing my site. I need to refresh the page about 10 times before I can finally get it to load as it should. I can’t even connect to the control panel as it looks like it’s timing out all of the time. There’s nothing wrong with my local internet connection as all other websites I now visit are loading correctly and I’m able to get into my accounts at some of the other hosts that we use right now. In the process of finding another suitable host where we can move over the sites that are with Hostmonster. Wouldn’t use this company again, not until they fix their issues at least.

    This company has some very good points and almost no negative ones at all. Their customer support alone would make you want to do business with them. Whether you contact them by phone, by email or by live chat, they will always be very helpful and do their best to answer the questions that you have., no matter how easy or how compicated the situation might be. When you speak on live chat, there’s somebody there all the time that will answer you within 2 or 3 minutes. Same thing with phone support, there is no waiting time and their staff all speak English, plus give instructions that are clear and to the point. There’s no need to explain and re explain yourself 10 times with Hostmonster support. This means that if you need help running your website the right way, someone will be there to assist you at all times. Their service is quite easy to use and the control panel is actually quite straightforward and only takes a few minutes to figure out how to use. There’s really no more than needs to be said than that. Their service is the best and Hostmonster is definitely a cut above all the rest which make fun promises but actually give no results to webmasters when they need them the most.

There have been many times in the past month that the servers hosting my website have gone down. Once, it was for 2 entire days and today again it was down for more than 3 hours. But the customer service of Hostmonster made the whole process extremely easy for me. I’ve never seen customer service that was so friendly and helpful.     I was comparing HostMonster to some other web hosting services. All the other ones really seemed to make offers that were too good to be true. HostMonster is not the cheapest web hosting company at $5.95 per month but they’re worth the money you spend on them. Service and speed are all excellent here. My website is never down. My previous host seemed to have a lot of trouble keeping their service working for all of their customers and this is something that never happened with HostMonster. Everything combined, they’re the best hosting company that I’ve ever used. I signed up for a 3 year plan and I’m now 2 years in the service with no complaints at all.

    I’ve been searching for a good host for quite some time now and came around to see Host Monster a month ago. Got signed up and everything was ready within just an hour or so. I had my website on another host but I already downloaded it from my computer. Just uploaded all the content over to their server. Took about another hour to get things all set up. Pointed my Name Servers over to Host Monster and then all worked very well. My site was up and running in about 3 hours. Tested all of their features like the email and statistics and everything worked right from the start. I never needed to speak with support as their service never malfunctioned. For such a low price as they have with their current promotion I would recommend Host Monster web hosting any day to you.

    I was promoting a small movie that I made with a few friends and needed a good web host. Host Monster did the job rather well. Took the 1 year hosting package and got started. I already created 75% of my website by that point so all I had to do was to upload it. Uploading the site was good, a bit slow at times however the whole website was up in less than 30 minutes. Download speeds are great with Host Monster and there were never any problems accessing the site after it was created. Updating and maintiaining the site was very easy after. Email worked perfectly too. If I ever need web hosting for another project that of course I will use Host Monster again.

    We found the Host Monster service online after looking through some hosts, probably because they had a good ranking among other hosts. Things were looking OK when we signed up 3 years ago and only a few times was the server down and even then it was only for a couple of minutes. It’s after that that bigger problems started happening. Sites were going down several times a month during the day time, sometimes the downtime on the site would last over an hour. Tech support, during these times would take about 20 minutes to answer you. Same thing for live chat.     We found the Host Monster service online after looking through some hosts, probably because they had a good ranking among other hosts. Things were looking OK when we signed up 3 years ago and only a few times was the server down and even then it was only for a couple of minutes. It’s after that that bigger problems started happening. Sites were going down several times a month during the day time, sometimes the downtime on the site would last over an hour. Tech support, during these times would take about 20 minutes to answer you. Same thing for live chat.     Even though I didn’t know too much about web hosting when I opened up my service with Host Monster, I was delighted by the good help that they’ve provided me right from the start. They have a lot of useful information for those that are building their website for the first time. Customer support is also friendly and helpful at all times and even gave me good tips on things which aren’t really related to their services directly. Price is about $5 per month now. While this may not be the cheapest web host on the planet it’s definitely one of the best quality ones as far as I’m concerned. I just wish I had found them before, it would have saved me a lot of problems that I’ve had with my old hosting provider. Thanks for your good work HostMonster!

    I have been with HostMonster for several years and now host 7 websites on their hosting package. Had way too many issues with my other host, even though they probably tried to fix them. PHP and MySQL issues were constantly happening. This caused me to waste a lot of $$$ and time dealing with that so I decided I was much better off trying another host to see whether things there would work. First uploaded a dummy copy of my site to HostMonster to see if things would work as they should. Surprisingly, everything went really well. For the price they definitely do provide excellent quality.

    Funny that way too many people around here seem to think that Host Monster is the best thing in the world when they’re actually the same company that has Blue Host which was another host that I had problems with. Signing up wasn’t easy. Was asked to call them to verify my information over and over and had to submit proof of payment and proof that I owned the credit card I used to buy the service. Strange never had this from a hosting business before and it’s not like I purchased $1000 worth of services at once. Service was average at best with some outages here and there. Also there was trouble accessing email several times and support was slow to address this issue seriously. For very basic hosting they might be OK but I don’t think they’re the best in the industry or even for second place it would be well too generous. Should be in 10th place maybe.

    Hostmonster is misleading clients, it says unlimited space, but it is not. They give you a limit on how many files you can post, limit on videos, and the wost thing is they give you a limit of 1100 Tables, Hostmonster is only for someone who is looking to create a basic HTML website. Trust me I found out the hard way, hostmonster suck!

    It’s almost a year now that I have been using Hostmonster and is currently hosting numerous sites with their hosting package deal. I have encountered lots of conflicts with other host before even though their customer service is trying to fix the issue. I have trouble with PHP and MysQL that happens all the time. I have wasted a lot of money on this so I decided to switch to other host to find out a good one out there. I tried to upload a site in Hostmonster just to test if this is good. I was amazed when things turned out well.

    I was hosting a video site with all the videos actually hosted on my Hostmonster account. Now the videos would simply fail to appear and the player just failed to load. Tried everything on my own before but was no use. Contacted their support to see what could be done as it looks like some file was corrupted even though I didn’t make any changes to the site in the past month. They told me that their last backup was from over a week ago and that there was nothing that they could do anymore for me. And even that came when I asked to speak to someone higher up. The support quality looks terrible. I don’t know if they went cheap on the support and hired some people who should rather be working at McDonalds instead. I was basically told that I was out of luck and if I wasn’t happy I could go some place else. Never seen such poor attitude from a web host support before. Maybe if you have a site with only text like in 1992 this will work. But otherwise stay away from Hostmonster.

    Host Monster is good so far. I say so far as I’ve only been with this company for the past 4 months. I ‘ m running a website that uses Drupal and I know that with some of the cheapest hosts there were a few problems with these. What is good is that I never ran into any kind of trouble at Host Monster. Site has a few hundred pages and still loads very fast. Since its good so far I recommend them.

    This service is not too reliable. Something HostMonster should work on. In the last year I can count up to 5 times where there was a service outage which lasted more than a couple of hours. Every time I contacted their customer support about it I was given either a generic answer or told that it would be fixed very soon when it wasn’t. Support is also usually quite rude and it almost seems like they don’t even want to talk to you at all. I believe that the quality could be massively improved at that level but it’s too bad that they didn’t take any action on that part yet. In 2 months by service is going to be finished here and I definitely will not be renewing my terms with them at all. Since they don’t even care about making their service work right or giving their customers the right support that they deserve I will just not be spending my money on HostMonster. Came here to see what else can be had in the web hosting arena these days and it looks like many companies are having problems so I hope I will be able to find one that actually works well.

    Positive results overall here at Hostmonster. Though one thing I would say is that it’s not the best place if you have two e-commerce websites running at the same time. If you need ecommerce hosting I would recommend that you go with a more powerful company. They gave me a notice that one of my sites was using too much traffic and so it was draining their resources too fast apparently. They proposed an upgrade but the issue with that is that it cost more than getting a VPS hosting somewhere else. So what I did was switch to VPS hosting at another host but kept one of my sites active on HostMonster as it doesn’t get this much traffic there. For the site that remains with them it works pretty fine.

    I’ve been using Hostmonster for 3 years now. The last time I was using them, they had plenty of very good technical support reps who would actually get something done when necessary and fix any problem that you’re having. But now it seems that all these good reps are completely gone and we’re left with just those who can’t even answer the most simple question. The main reason I needed to contact Hostmonster support last time was that there was some kind of virus that affected some sites on the server and my site was one of those that was hacked. Due to their incompetent support, what should have been restored and fixed in a few hours at most took nearly 3 days. Now I’m very disappointed with Hostmonster and I’m switching companies at once. Too bad that they went downhill like this because they certainly weren’t that bad of a hosting company at the beginning at least.

    Not recommended. In my opinion the Hostmonster web host is the worst host you can find and doesn’t deserve to be in any place on the top ten web hosts list. Maybe in place 50 or something like this would be more fitting for what they do. As soon as I moved my site to them the problems started. Was getting database errors all the time and they kept accusing my site of being the cause of the problem even though it was working without errors onmy other web host. It took plenty of patience and arguing in circles for days to get them to finally switch me to a different server. It worked for a while but now on the server where they put my site the time for the whole website to load is atrocious. It takes nearly 20 seconds for the home page to appear. Not only is this bad for the user but this could also lead to being penalized by Google. It seems that Hostmonster doesn’t care about their customers at all now. Time to move to a different host. I don’t know if I will be able to get my money back from them or not but to me right now it doesn’t even matter. I just want to get a web hosting provider that can actually provide what they claim in their advertisements and it’s obvious that this won’t be the case with Hostmonster.

    Host Monster is perfect for small business hosting. We’ve been with them for 4 years now and the website we have is powered by WordPress. They are very good for WordPress hosting as they’ve given us tips and advice on how to better run the website that we have now. Always appreciated their good service. I don’t think they’re the cheapest web host right now but they offered me excellent services and that is even more important here than just getting a good price.

    Hostmonster used to be a great service about 5 years ago. I think the administration changed or something because everything went down the drain very fast at this host. So fast that it will make your head spin. They constantly try to pressure you into buying more expensive services through any available means. Unlimited hosting is a joke, pure and simple. They limit the amount of files that you have. Any email message you get in your box is also a file, including the junk email that you get which clogs your email box. Now they’re also limiting the size that an SQL database can have. This means if you use Joomla hosting with them and use an ecommerce theme and some SEO plugins you are likely to go over the limit fast. What comes next is equally horrible. They tell you that your account will be canceled and your site deleted immediately if you don’t upgrade to a pro account. The monster part of their name suits them well. This is monstruous quality hosting.

    I’ve left Hostmonster and i’m now dealing with Hostgator. HG is actually pretty decent compared to them, even though they may have their issues at least HG has some good support which immediately fixes them. Hostmonster is a bad web host because of all the hacking that is routinely happening at their servers. They know nothing about security and it shows very well. My website has been hacked two times in the past year and the technical support has done NOTHING valuable to help me. NOTHING at all so now a big ZERO for them for support. I asked for them to restore the files from two days ago. They sent me the backup from last week. When I emailed them again saying that it’s wrong a second rep got all defensive and tried to tell me that the first rep did actually send me the files that I asked him to. Obviously not the case. I know other users who have Hostmonster and they too have been hacked so it’s not an isolated issue or a problem unique to my site as they would love to claim.

Simple instruction. Even if my English is not good I still was capable to understand how thing is done for the installation and then to input files and other stuffs to the service by them.     For web hosting, it’s all right. You get what they advertise. They put a few limits on the number of files that you can have and the size of the database. So if you run two or more websites that use database like a WordPress hosting site or something like that, you may get close to the limit. Maybe not great for all blog hosting, but for general hosting Hostmonster has served me well in the last 4 years. Their rates increased a bit since the renewal, but I will be staying with them as it still isn’t that expensive and you get a website that works.

    While I could say that I can’t complain about Hostmonster’s web hosting in itself, I would want to state my opinion on their email hosting as I’ve had way too many problems with it. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I also noticed some of the most recent revies about them aren’t that all positive either. First I started getting a lot of spam. Over 25 spam messages arriving in my inbox. Most of it was either blank messages or just random garbage text. When Hostmonster was contacted about the problem, their response was that they recommend that I purchae some kind of add on from them. Not good. Next, I started getting complaints that some of my messages, especially if they contained attachments, werent received correctly by the recipient. Sometimes the message would be delayed, sometimes it wouldn’t arrive at all. The response from Hostmonster was very poor. What they said was that there’s nothing wrong with their services and that it must be the person receiving the email that is having the problems, not them. Yeah, except that I don’t believe that, not one bit. I’m changing hosts because of the email issue. It’s too bad, as If they improved that I would stay as I had no problem with my website at all, just the emails.

    Our e-commerce site used to be hosted with Hostmonster before we moved over to a dedicated host. When the site was still relatively small, it worked extremely well and whenever we needed some support Hostmonster technical support was there to answer quickly.     This used to be an excellent service but as of late they’re more interested in forcing people to buy more expensive add ons than providing what they claim is in their basic hosting package. What good is promising a low rate of $5.95 per month with everyting unlimited if you’re not really providing an unlimited service? At least they could make different tiers of service so that the users know what’s included in the package or not. They put way too many limits on the amount of files you can have in your account. They’re not published clearly either. Also, limits on the size of MySQL databases mean that if you’re running anything interactive like a small forum or even a blog where you allow comments and input from users, you will get trouble very soon from them. This is why you shouldn’t go with Hostmonster unless your website is really nothing more than a simple collection of HTML pages. Other shared web hosting companies are capable of giving customers a reasonable service and packages without tryign to overcharge them in buying addons so I’m sure Hostmonster would be capable of that as well… if only they made the effort.

    Hostmonster is nothing short of a huge waste of time. My website has been down about 10 times in the last few months. Every time they get contacted about this, they make some kind of an excuse, which is pathetic to say the least. I’ve caught them lying to me on several occasions. Once they said that the problem was with my internet connection and not their server. By doing a traceroute, I was able to show them that this isn’t the case. Suddenly, they changed the story and said that the problem is being investigated. The site went back up in a couple of hours but I never got a reply even though I was promised I would receive one from a higher level tech. Is this really the kind of web hosting that you want to be dealing with? If I was them, I would simply be ashamed of my actions. This is no way to treat a customer that’s paying for your service. The only way that I would recommend Hostmonster is if it was a free web hosting provider. But to pay and get such garbage service? No thank you.

    I’m sure some here have already noted the irony of their name and made jokes about it, so I’ll keep myself from doing so. But monster would definitely suit some of the people working in their customer service department. I was running a website that provided access to background check services, as well as court and business records that are available publicly online to anyone. A few days after the site went live, Hostmonster shut down my website saying that they received complaints about privacy violations. I tried to explain to them that all my site did was provide links and a search option to the relevant government agencies that provided the information for public search online and there was nothing that violated any privacy regulations. The support rep didn’t seem to understand this and then went on accusing me of posting private information about people online such as their social security numbers and addresses. Again, this is not true. That information is available in county court records all over the nation that my site just linked to. If someone wants to remove their records they need to contact the government agency responsible for that and not me. This rep seemed to be very thick so I called back. Another one told me that they are investigating my site and will contact me in 2 days. It took them 5 days to restore my website. A month later they shut down my website again for the same reason. I just told them to cancel my account and that I’m done with them. They didn’t even make an attempt to keep me with their service. I’m lucky I had a full backup of my site done locally and that the domain was registered at another company. I now use another web host. Hostmonster treated me very badly and they seem to have no human logic whatsoever.

    Hostmonster is a fine web host if you just build a basic web site. If you need something that is really interactive and multimedia I wouldn’t recommend them as there are some limitations as to the size of the databases and the type of files you can upload to their server. My Hostmonster account is used to host two basic business websites that run on plain HTML so it’s fine for that. Concerning reliability I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary so I would say their service works fine with regards to that.

    Be very wary of HostMonster. They recently started a “Terms of Service Compliance Department” and have shut my Web site down three times in the last two months because of what they call excessive database size. The problem is that they have two measurements of database size: CPanel and phpMyAdmin. CPanel routinely reports massively larger database size than phpMyAdmin, often on the order of 2Gb larger. HostMonster has told me to use phpMyAdmin as the more accurate indicator of size, but they use the CPanel figure to shut down the database. I’ve kept a daily record of the differences and sent those records to them on a daily basis asking for them to help me understand what’s going on and how to remedy it. They have responded after an enormous effort. They now are saying that a database with an absolute total of 200Mb of data on teir site often has a total size of 3Gb for an overhead that is 9,999,999,999 the size of the data. They claim CPanel reports the actual size while phpMyAdmin reports only the size of the data. Trying to get them to clarify this only results in tremendous obfuscation. When I call them, they talk nebulously about page cache sizes in CPanel and delays in updating, but never give any real explanantion. Ultimately, every time they have shut my Web site down, they have reopened it — even though I have done nothing to change the size of my database. Somehow it miraculously gets smaller in CPanel just as the result of my calling them. If you don’t want to get repeated, threatening emails about your database size and have your Web site repeatedly shut down, look elsewhere for hosting.

    They used to have a great service but as of late they’re getting progressively worse and this is much much worse. They pressured me and another friend to upgrade to a more expensive service that would end up costing even more than your own vps web hosting server. Unlimited services are a big joke at Hostmonster. They put very restrictive limits on the number of files that you can have with one account so hosting more than 2 or 3 sites that use a system like WordPress hosting is getting impossible with them. If you receive a lot of emails you should beware that all the emails that you keep are going to count towards the inode limit. So if you have 100 junk emails that accumulate each day in each mail box you have beware because you’re going to hit the limit very soon. If you want better spam protection so that all of these junk mails don’t even reach you, they try to charge you even more. Two of the sites we own are Joomla web hosting sites with the e-commerce attachment and they’re now dangerously close to the limit even though they have barely over two dozen products on each site. Hostmonster just sent me a rude email threatening to cancel the account and take the sites offline if the files aren’t removed or we don’t pay for “Professional” hosting. Don’t feel like upgrading as their “Professional” hosting is way too expensive and I doubt they can demonstrate anything known as professionalism at this host. Moving my files away from them is the best solution I can find as of now.

    Moved my website over to Host Monster web hosting and had a a lot of problems from the very beginning. Receiving database errors all of the time. Support at Host Monster refuses to admit that the problem is because of issues on their site. It took a lot of struggling with them to move my website over to another server. A week later the response time of that server started to get slow as well but they still refuse to admit that there’s a problem on their site. Finally I made the decision to move over the files I got with them over to another company. I’m now making a full backup of the files I have on the server with them. The problem is that FTP disconnects at random times making it difficult to download things completely. Of course Host Monster sees no problem with this and persists in saying that there must be something wrong with my internet connection. Obviously, for this reason I really don’t recommend them at all.

    After a year with HostMonster’s web hosting services I’m very satisfied with their offering right now. They gave me the help needed when I had some questions. The promotional price was good at $5.95 per month and now it’s $8.99 if you renew after the first year of using them. I also have a second site with them that I use mainly for email hosting and that site works really well too. Recommended based on their good price and high performance of hosting. Websites and the main administration control panels always load extremely fast. Very positive experience with them.

    Nearly perfect web hosting solution from HostMonster. Download times are very fast. This was a much needed improvement over the other web host I used in the past. I’m really happy to see that I no longer have to deal with slow loading times. HostMonster has very good software available in their control panel and making the installation of WordPress was very easy with the Fantastico installer they provided. Was using a cheap web host before and I needed to get it installed manually which was quite a headache to do. Will continue using the HostMonster service so long as they’re able to maintain their high standards of service and keep me satisfied with them.

I saw that at 5.95 per month they cost more then the competition and I was really wary of all the web hosts that seemed to promised all unlimited services for like 3.95 per month and lower. I was actually surprised quite pleasantly with the Host Monster services. Speed and reliability are always at their top levels with this web host. This isn’t the first web host that I’ve used and I’ve had other providers in the past. Host Monster would be the best web host of all of them up until now. If what you’re looking for is a very high quality web host and not to waste your time I would sincerely recommend that you change your hosting to Host Monster when you need a better host.

    If there’s one thing that I could suggest to the whole Hostmonster services team is that they upgrade their security mechanisms on their servers. Recently there’s been some trouble where two of our websites hosted with them were affected by a virus. This isn’t just an isolated issue as we’ve seen other webmasters complain about this on other forums. As a precaution we’ve moved 3 of our other sites to a different server as these sites were producing the most revenue and having a virus on these would disrupt business too much. We’re now considering shifting the remaining websites to another hosting provider. It seems like there are numerous issues that were reported at Hostmonster and their associated company Bluehost when it comes to hacking and viruses. Until they’ve proven that they fixed their problems, it’s probably better to keep looking. They’re not even the cheapest web host and still despite being priced at a reasonable level they don’t provide the service customers would deserve from a really professional hosting service provider.

    I know very little about web hosting and had a difficult time selecting the right host. All of them seemed to be really good but a friend recommended that I use Hostmonster as they are a customer of theirs and were satisfied with the services received. I contacted the sales service at Hostmonster before signing up and I was pleased with how well they answered my questions. Decided to take their deal and it was smooth sailing from there on.     The reason why I switched from my other provider to Hostmonster is because the web host I was with before was ceasing their operations at the end of the month and I needed a place to put my website. I got used to paying over $16 a month for very limited hosting with just 1 website domain allowed and 1 GB of storage. When I wanted to add a subdomain they charged me $3 more per month so I ended up paying $19 for a simple website and a WordPress blog to go with it. I thought that all of the cheaper web hosting services were really bad or that there was a rip off somewhere like hidden fees. So what I can say is that I’m just glad I was able to find the Hostmonster service because it’s not only affordable but it’s really good. Find that the control panel is more rich in features and much easier to work with compared to my old host. Also the time it takes to load the website seems to have decreased too.

    Ugh, the outages at Hostmonster are continuing and really starting to get much worse. During night time here in Australia, our sites are very slow to load and sometimes would just give a connection failed message. Right now one of them is just refusing to display completely and even the Hostmonster control panel stays inaccessible. It just looks like it’s loading for about 30 seconds and then times out completely. Unlike what Hostmonster is always claiming, this isn’t the problem with the local connection here as all other websites load correctly.

Answers phone and chat in less then 5 minutes and emails are always replied to within 2 hours or so. Their agents speak perfect English every time so there’s never any issue of missed communications.     Everything works fine with Host Monster at the moment. In a year there was maybe one or two server outages but even then these were announced in advance in their control panel ans lasted less than 45 minutes. If you are in search of reliability there is a high chance that you will find it right here with Host Monster.
